However, visitors to Pomona Outlet Campground can typically benefit from standard federal campground pricing and potentially state park passes if it's integrated with the Kansas State Parks system for certain fees.

  • Federal Recreation Passes: Holders of certain federal passes, such as the America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass, may receive discounts on camping fees. This includes passes for seniors (62+), people with permanent disabilities, and active military personnel.
  • Seasonal/Annual Passes: While not explicitly stated for this campground, many federal and state park systems offer annual passes that can reduce overall costs for frequent visitors.
  • Group Rates: For larger gatherings, it's always worth inquiring if the campground offers any group rates or designated group camping areas at a special price.
  • Off-Peak Season Rates: Camping during the off-peak season (typically fall, winter, or early spring) often comes with lower rates and fewer crowds.

It's highly recommended to contact Pomona Outlet Campground directly using the provided phone numbers or check the relevant government recreation websites (e.g., Recreation.gov for federal sites, or the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism for state sites) for the most current fee schedules, reservation policies, and any available discounts or passes.

Yes the comments are correct, your phone is not going to work unless you go to the top of the hill or some places out on the lake, however it’s a great place to get away from it all! The park, roads and facilities are very well maintained and the playground is in excellent condition. Everything was clean and the experience was amazing even though we had an annoying singing neighbor over the weekend. The campsites are somewhat close together but far enough apart to feel private and secluded. The camp host was polite and kind along with the camp guard dog Abby! Don’t worry, vicious weenie dog attacks are rare! The trail connects right off the side of the campground and is well worth exploring. The water is a bit farther away. There is lots of wildlife including birds, fish and deer along with some mystery visitor that woke us up at 4am.

One of our favorite places to go camping! If you want to disconnect from technology then this is the place to escape it since there is very little cell service around the outlet. Most of the camping spots are very shaded and spaced out. They have water and electric hookups and a sewer dump station by the gate. There is also a trail where you can spend 15 minutes (or a couple hours) walking depending on the route you choose. The campground also has a park for the kids and a shower house. Down the road is the dam outlet where there are several spots to fish or have a nice picnic. A quick travel across the dam and you can enjoy the swim beach on the hot days. A short drive away is a gas station/bait shop and a VERY good restaurant called Breck's Green Acres.

Wonderful park with a great view of the lake, the outlet and into the Michigan Valley area. The trails add a nice area for my group to do SAR K9 training
