LOVE the staff!!! The location is great with some pretty awesome views of the river. We did not have any issues with smells, bugs or rude staff that was mentioned in some other reviews. The staff was super helpful with everything. We were able to enjoy the band playing one evening. I am looking forward to returning in the Summer.
Nov 07, 2021 · Angelene ChelluckBooked a site prior to getting there. Apon arrival they booked a 50amp spot. It was a bait and switch. You could upgrade to a 30 Amp spot on the river or buy a $40 adapter. To me, this was their responsibility to either put you in a 30amp or 50amp. They didn't ask when my husband what Amp camper we had, so they just gave us a 50amp and then tried to up sell us. To me that's shady business practice. So they sold us a $10 adapter for $40 . Every campground I have ever stayed at that didn't have a 30 available, they provided the adapter, they also asked when I booked if they didn't have combo sites. Just be prepared if you book a stay here. The rest was campsite was ok and good for the fee charged. I just didn't like the bait and switch there to get more money out of us or the up sell tactic.
Aug 18, 2023 · Caroline JacksonAwesome little campground for people looking to get away from crowds. Has a beach, fishing piers and boat ramp on the Mataponi River. The owners and staff are Ahmazing!
Feb 18, 2025 · Diane BladesGreat little campground, off the beaten path, on the river! Nice staff, clean facilities, play ground, boat launch, small beach area. Wonderful place to get away and relax!
Apr 18, 2024 · Leah NydamMy husband & I decided we wanted to see what this campground was. We planned on doing a drive thru just to look at what was around. As we’re doing so, the female owner stops us & rudely tells us we “need” to roll the window down. Which we do. She then incredibly aggressively asks us why we’re there & insists we need to drive slower although we were going 6mph in 5mph posted area. She spoke to us as if we were children & it took a lot of restraint not to cut her off & reassure her of herself. This isn’t camping, these people clearly live here. It was a mess & extremely crowded. Instead of being insightful, informative, & polite this woman was aggressive, rude, and truly has no indication on how to run a business in the eye of customer service. I’d be interested to see some kind of inspection be done at the premises. The images on the website DO NOT depict this facility.
