Customer Reviews
Wonderful park. Great trails! Pool, putt putt, safe for kids to ride bikes. The cabins are beautiful, clean and fully equipped. Great little refuge!
The campground was more of a RV park (long term renters too) and the tent areas were near the back of the grounds. Got a nice spot on top of a ever so slight hill towards the back. Slept through a 2-hour thunderstorm and downpour.. everything got soaked but the clay grounds absorbed nearly all the water and we were back in business by morning. Fire ring and benches were at most sites. We also had a dedicated trash bin. The tent area is a little bit of a walk from the main welcome center for showers / restroom. They are fairly clean but could use a little TLC. The welcome center has plenty of activities to do if you plan to stick around, and they have a small store with most of what you need. Was about a 10-15 minute ride to most things so was not a problem. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating.
The people were friendly and there was plenty of things for kids. But this place is seriously in need of maintenance. The indoor pool heater isn't working. The miniature golf is covered in sticks and rocks the bathroom is covered in caution tape. The burnt up RV is the icing on the cake. My first time using my 1000 trail membership. I guess I should of just stuck with just finding nice parks on my own as opposed to hoping the membership gets me a nice place without trying. Because it doesn't.
The campground is peaceful and very well maintained. We needed some help with our Airstream and the staff were very pleasant and quick to help. The campground is in a great location to access Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown.
Let me start by saying this campground and little community is amazing but the camp manager and 2 membership specialists charity, Rob and Lori and all the staff is absolutely amazing!! Camp is clean, plenty of space for tents and rvs even has cabins! Indoor and outdoor pool and spas, mini golf and everything you could possibly need to keep you busy!!! Pickle ball... Yup they have that too for all you pickle nuts!!!! So far this camp has gone above and beyond for us and our cat and we couldn't be more grateful!! Plenty for kids, pets families and couples to do. Weekends are exciting with music, fun, games and candy bar bingo! they had a cool mother's day setup too!!! I would HIGHLY recommend speaking to Rob and lori about a membership, you can't go wrong and you sure will not be disappointed in your choice if you get one (several to choose from too to fit all your needs)! They provide coffee till 1 free of charge made by the amazing front desk staff as well as fresh popcorn throughout the day for kids and adults!! They also have a really really cool game room with pool, skee ball etc and an amazing lounge. We watched forged in fire for hours, they have books and dvds too such a chill little Relaxiotion spot with a little fake fireplace that makes you feel at home. I would recommend this camp to anyone, families, couples, dogs, cats etc. I'm grateful I chose to camp here and more grateful to the entire staff, they all each do an amazing job!!! Camper for life!!!
