We stayed in a tent site in June ! The views are beautiful but - picnic tables are all garbage and falling apart , the bathhouse is absolutely terrifying and disgusting! The bugs have over taken and I felt filthy !! The main fishing pier is fish at your own risk due to it absolutely falling apart and unsafe. Not to mention the nat infestation. I will never tent camp here again as those Sites are not taken care of AT ALL. The restaurant is delicious and staff amazing. Otherwise was subpar facility.

Went to Ed Allen’s campground today have camped there many times but I just went for the day on July fourth 2024. Was stopped by a man before getting to the camp store where we were going to check in. The man informs us he is the owner and if we want to go end we have to park in overflow lot. My wife informs him I just had back surgery and if she could drop me off at the camp site we were. He tells her no that he heard all kind of stories today and we would have to walk from the overflow lot like we we’re telling him a lie so we leave. The people we were going to see calls us and asked what happened so they come back and they would give us a ride. So we go back and check in so my wife says she’ll drop me at campsite and go back to overflow lot. We go to the site and she drops off so she parks the car for a minute. While I’m at the sight this girl comes up on a golf cart doesn’t say who she is demanding to know who’s camp site this. I’m just sitting in a chair and tell her it’s my nephews site.My nephew comes up and wants to know what’s going on because the girl is going crazy running her mouth and let anyone say anything. Then she starts going off on my nephew finally she leaves. Everybody’s standing there trying to figure out what is going on. Ten minutes later she comes back demanding to know who is Billy Conner and stand up out my chair and say I am. Then she starts going off again saying I was lying to her and I hadn’t even talked to her.So I tell my wife to get our stuff and let’s leave . So we get our money back because if they are treating people like this we don’t want to stay there. Then after we left the office calls my nephew and says we very rude to there employee who didn’t even say who she was and she is the one that was being rude. If that guy we talked to who said he was the owner he needs to find out how to run a campground. So save your money and go camping somewhere else where the people running it are glad that you’re there.

Stayed here several times. a whole month also. Absolute best campground we have been to. Always a fun time had by all. Undoubtedly the best camp host/owners we have ever met. Super polite and caring staff, Awesome place to fish in the ponds. Near the lake. And just a great feeling overall.

Quiet clean campgrounds. It was my first trip in my camper. I loved it so much I am storing it there for frequent visits. The lady in the shop was super nice and chipper all of the time. I will need to learn what the fish like to eat though - lots of fish but nothing took my hook. Looking forward to the next relaxing weekend.
