Dec 06, 2024 · BrittanyWe had a built in Park model RV in this park for a dozen years and we're only able to use it on average maybe 2 months total a year. We had always planned on making this a part of our retirement plans. Then the park got sold and the rates kept climbing exorbitantly year after year. Then the Pandemic hit and as I was declared an essential employee on day one of the shutdowns , running multiple major highway projects in NJ, I wasn't supposed to leave the state. After weeks of phone calls and emails essentially telling me that even though I was not legally allowed to fly down to mow the grass, paint already painted patio blocks, and the most ridiculous suggestion I have ever heard, put vinyl siding on my already metal clad RV. I saw the writing on the wall, put my truck on the auto train, came down and emptied what little remained of the possessions we had accumulated. Paid the park manager $3000 to have it demolished, not sure why she was involved. Fast forward to yesterday when I stopped to visit a friend and discovered that my oh so important spot was still just GRASS! BUYER BEWARE,
Dec 08, 2024 · William E. ScoleriThis is an over 55 RV village right on Little Manatee River. Since it is the off season we were able to get a spot easily. Susan (our neighbor) welcomed us upon arrival and helped us locate everything we needed to hook up. We spent the hot mid day in the recreation room (which was very quiet with WiFi so I could get some work done) and the evening at the pool. I got to see the rare (for this time of year) manatee down by the dock, along with some other wildlife. The showers and bathrooms were spotless. The laundry was easy to use.
