Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park About
For many Michiganders, the perfect getaway can involve a blend of outdoor comfort and entertainment, and for those who enjoy the excitement of gaming, an RV park conveniently located near a casino can be an ideal choice. In the Standish area of Michigan, Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park presents itself as a notable option, offering year-round accessibility and a direct connection to the Saganing Eagles Landing Casino. While every RV park has its unique characteristics, understanding the facilities and services available at a destination like this is crucial for planning a smooth and enjoyable trip. This article aims to provide a factual and informative overview of Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park, helping Michigan residents determine if it aligns with their preferences for a convenient and accessible RV experience, particularly for those looking to combine their stay with casino entertainment.
The appeal of an RV park often hinges on its convenience, amenities, and the overall experience it provides. Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park, in particular, caters to a specific niche: those who wish to combine their RV lifestyle with the leisure and entertainment offered by a nearby casino. As one long-term visitor notes, it serves as a "go-to campground" when in the Standish area, highlighting its consistent availability throughout the year. However, it is also important to consider all aspects of the experience, including challenges some guests have faced. For Michigan residents, a clear understanding of what to expect in terms of facilities, service, and proximity to attractions will enable them to make an informed decision for their next RV adventure, ensuring that their trip is as seamless and enjoyable as possible, whether it's a quick stopover or a multi-day stay to celebrate with friends or simply enjoy the slots and food at the casino.
Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park is strategically located at 5447 Sturman Rd, Standish, MI 48658, USA. This address places it just a short distance from the Saganing Eagles Landing Casino, creating a direct connection for guests seeking entertainment and dining options. Standish, situated in Arenac County, is part of Michigan's "Sunrise Side," known for its access to Saginaw Bay and generally rural, peaceful surroundings. For Michigan residents, the park's location offers reasonable accessibility from various parts of the Lower Peninsula. It’s a straightforward drive from major population centers via I-75, making it a convenient stop for travelers heading further north or a designated destination for those specifically visiting the casino or exploring the local area.
The accessibility of Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park is a key feature for Michigan locals. Its proximity to a major interstate like I-75 means a relatively easy and direct journey for RVers. Once off the highway, the short drive to Sturman Road leads directly to the park. The primary draw of its location is, undoubtedly, its close relationship with the Saganing Eagles Landing Casino. This direct connection offers convenient access to gaming, restaurants, and other casino amenities, which is a significant advantage for those whose travel plans revolve around the casino. While some experiences with the shuttle service may vary, the overall convenience of being able to easily access the casino from your RV site is a notable benefit for Michiganders looking for a specific type of recreational getaway in the Standish area.
Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park provides a range of services designed for RVers, particularly those utilizing the adjacent casino. However, it's crucial for prospective guests to note that the availability and functionality of some advertised services have been a point of concern for past visitors. Based on provided feedback and general expectations for an RV park, here are the services:
Campsites with Electric Hookups: The park's website and brochure state that electric is available at each site, allowing campers to power their RVs. (Note: While advertised, water availability has been inconsistent, as per customer reviews.)
Gravel Sites: The sites are described as being composed of gravel, which is typically good for drainage and stability, and are noted to be level, which simplifies RV setup.
24/7 Shuttle Service to Casino (with caveats): A shuttle service is advertised for convenient transportation to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino for gaming and dining. However, a customer review indicates that the actual service may not always match expectations, with one user reporting having to ride "one at a time in a one-passenger, casino-owned mini truck" in the morning, which was not what they expected from a "24/7 shuttle."
Year-Round Operation: The park is confirmed to be "open all year," providing a consistent option for RVers in the Standish area regardless of the season.
It is critically important for Michiganders considering this RV park to verify the current operational status of all services, especially water hookups at sites and the dump station, directly with the park management prior to arrival. Past guests have expressed significant disappointment and inconvenience due to the lack of available water despite it being advertised, and a perceived lack of sympathy from staff regarding the issue. While staff mentioned showers are "working on adding showers to the pool area," this was not available to a past guest.
Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park, while primarily serving as a convenient base for casino visitors, offers several features and highlights that might appeal to certain Michigander RVers. It's important to consider these alongside the notable concerns raised by past guests to form a comprehensive understanding of the park:
Direct Access to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino: This is the park's primary highlight. Its close proximity and advertised shuttle service (though service quality may vary) make it extremely convenient for guests looking to enjoy slots, table games, and dining options at the casino without needing to drive their RV.
Level Gravel Sites: The sites are described as "level" and "gravel," which are practical features for RVers, ensuring a stable and relatively easy setup for campers.
Year-Round Operation: Being "open all year" is a significant advantage for those who enjoy winter camping or need a reliable spot during off-peak seasons when many other campgrounds are closed in Michigan.
Convenient for Short Stays: For those whose main purpose is to visit the casino, the park offers a convenient spot for a quick stopover or a short stay focusing on gaming and casino amenities.
Community for Casino-Goers: For individuals who frequently visit the casino, this park provides a consistent "go-to campground" and a community of like-minded visitors.
However, it is vital for prospective guests to be aware of the significant concerns highlighted in one review, which include:
Inconsistent Water Access: A major issue noted was the lack of water at sites and the dump station despite being advertised, causing significant inconvenience.
Lack of Communication: Guests expressed disappointment over not being informed about the water situation during reservation or check-in.
Perceived Lack of Staff Empathy: Staff response to the water issue was described as unsympathetic and unconcerned.
Unfulfilled Amenities (Showers): Showers were mentioned as being planned but not available during a guest's stay, despite the inconvenience of no water access.
Subpar Shuttle Experience: The 24/7 shuttle service did not meet expectations, with restricted and inconvenient transport options.
Trip Cut Short: Due to these issues, a guest felt compelled to cut their trip short, despite being there to celebrate with friends.
Michiganders should weigh these potential challenges carefully against the convenience of casino access.
As an RV park directly associated with a casino, Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park's promotions are often tied to casino loyalty programs, gaming incentives, or bundled packages. While specific, ongoing "special offers" are not detailed in the provided reviews, it is common for such establishments to offer:
Casino Player Card Discounts: Guests who are members of the casino's loyalty program (e.g., player's club) might receive discounted rates on RV sites.
Stay & Play Packages: Bundled deals that include RV site rental and casino perks like free play, dining credits, or show tickets.
Seasonal or Off-Peak Rates: Potentially lower rates during non-peak seasons (e.g., winter, weekdays) to encourage year-round use.
New Member Incentives: Special offers for first-time visitors or those signing up for the casino's player's club upon arrival.
Given the issues concerning communication and amenities mentioned in one review, it is absolutely essential for Michigan residents to directly contact Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park and the casino's marketing department prior to booking. This direct inquiry should clarify any current promotions, confirm what amenities are explicitly available and functional during their intended stay (especially water hookups and shuttle service details), and understand any terms and conditions associated with promotional offers. Always ask for written confirmation of any special rates or promised amenities to avoid disappointment.

Customer Reviews
Disappointed with Water Situation and Lack of Communication We stayed at the Saganing Eagles Landing RV Park and were very disappointed. Their website and brochure clearly state that water and electric are available at each site—but when we arrived, the water wasn’t turned on at our site or at the dump station. We were never informed of this during our phone reservation or when we checked in at the hotel. When we brought it up, we were told we could “probably” hook our camper back up and drive over to the casino area to get water—which is a big inconvenience, especially when you’re set up and planning to stay for a couple of days. Staff didn’t seem very sympathetic or concerned, which made the experience even more frustrating. I asked if there were any showers we could use since we had no water access, and they said they’re working on adding showers to the pool area. That might be nice someday, but it didn’t help us at all during our stay. They also advertise a 24/7 shuttle to the casino, but in the morning we had to ride one at a time in a one-passenger, casino-owned mini truck—not what we expected. The gravel sites are level and it’s a decent spot if you’re just going to the casino, but sadly, we ended up cutting our trip short—despite being there to celebrate with friends—because of the water issue. The lack of communication and empathy from staff really left a bad impression.
Our go-to campground, when in the Standish area, open all year! And you can go into the casino for slots and food.
Nice campground, quiet, inexpensive. Wide, level, gravel spot. Water, electric, and dump station. Very quiet when we were there. Short walk to the casino. Nice restaurants, not expensive, everyone was friendly and helpful. Security patrolled. We camped at Saganing Eagles Landing Casino in a Motorhome.
Nothing fancy, if looking for a place to stay while passing through, or to avail yourself of the casino, this park is great. Full electric/water hookups (50 amp available) gravel level lot with plenty of green space for dogs. Shuttle to/from casino, security very present in the area.
Always clean, staff is friendly. but I don't win often enough. 😊
