Location and Accessibility

Scenic Park is strategically located at 801 Riverview Dr, South Sioux City, NE 68776, USA. This address places it in a highly accessible position within South Sioux City, offering excellent connectivity for travelers on major interstates and highways. South Sioux City, situated along the Missouri River, is a key hub in Northeast Nebraska, directly across from Sioux City, Iowa, offering a unique bi-state urban and natural landscape.

The park's location is a significant advantage for those prioritizing convenience. It is described as "easy to get to" and "very convenient to both the interstate highways and access to local business." This suggests direct access to Interstate 29 (I-29) and U.S. Highway 20, which are major arteries connecting the region. This proximity to major roads means minimal detours for RVers and campers, allowing for quick transitions from travel to relaxation.

Additionally, being in South Sioux City means residents and visitors have immediate access to a wide array of local amenities. These include grocery stores, restaurants, fuel stations, and other essential services that are often just a short drive away. For those who might need RV repairs or other specialized services while on the road, the ease of access to local businesses, as highlighted by a reviewer, is a considerable benefit.

The park's address on Riverview Drive also hints at its riverside setting, offering "a great view of the river." While its closeness to the highway is mentioned, the natural beauty of the river adds a significant aesthetic appeal. However, it's important to note the proximity to active train tracks, which contributes to noise. This is a common trade-off for such convenient, city-adjacent locations, and is part of the experience at Scenic Park. Its location truly blends urban convenience with natural views.

The facilities and camping spots are good. Safe feeling atmosphere in a tidy and clean campground. Easy to get to and polite helpful staff. Campground is close to the highway so there’s noise from that…..but that’s tolerable and expected. That being said…..you better like Trains. Lots of them all night……blowing their horns. After the first 3 (about 15 minutes apart starting at around 10:00pm) i was going to pack up and just drive through the night. One went by about every hour….ended up packing up around 3:30am and hitting the road.

We experienced a very hospitable front office staff. Deb went above and beyond to help us out when we had to delay our departure in order to obtain RV repairs. The park is very convenient to both the interstate highways and access to local business yet isolated and quiet. It includes a great view of the river. We will definitely stay again.

Clean! Showers and bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Nice park next to the river. Very reasonably priced. Lots of extras like bicycles and firewood convenient for guests. Our trip involved 4900 miles. This was the overall best park we’ve stayed at hands down. Additionally, the staff are very courteous and helpful. We will stay again if ever back this way!

Large FHU, pull thru site with cable and free wifi that was good enough to stream video. And all for $37! Easy on/off for I-29. Very little "city driving" to get to this park. Some sites are first come first serve. We arrived on a Saturday around 3pm and they still had 2 large pull thru's and a handful of back ins available. This campground is in the middle of a metro area so you've got noise. Sites closest to the river will get I-29 noise which is directly across the river in Iowa. Sites on the west side are next to a water park and athletic fields. When they close you have traffic noise from apartment complexes. Those with rigs 35 feet and up might find the campground roads tight. TIP: No parking in front of the office or after. If you are big, stop right after the dumpsters as soon as you pull in. Office is the first building in front of you.

Very nice. Wide sites, some in treed area. For a "city" park well run, friendly helpful office staff. Not all sites full hookups, but we got a pull thru w 50 amp electric and cable for $18 a night. The water was close enough so we could run our hoses to fill up our holding tank. Some sites near the river, we were close to the local but quiet street near wide entrance. Paved roads mostly level gravel sites. You will hear the train, but it wasn't a bother to us.
