Stayed overnight on our trip from Texas in January. This campground is derelict, the "nature trail" is completely overgrown. We were given site 19, which is not on the map. It took us a while in the dark to find that our spot was a muddy patch at the entrance. For $50/night, this place was a joke. I wouldn't attempt to use the common restroom unless I wore a biohazard suit.

Had a great stay. Booked online no issues, no hassles. The overnight spots are all pull thrus with electric, water and sewer. We booked online and learned the office is closed on the weekends so no check in needed. Shady on the acres is accurate because there are trees. The acorns hitting our roof at night sound like gunfire. But NO complaints. Love it and will be back.

Yin and Yang. Light and dark. Chocolate and vanilla. Shady* Acres Campground and where we stayed last night. (*Shady everywhere except Slip 20, where we are unless we put out our awning, open an umbrella or throw ourselves under our bus) Nope, no shade here, except what I’m about to throw out on this place! Actually, as you can see in the pix, there’s lots of shade in the back 40 however these all appear to being term slips with the front couple of slips for one night stands. Fairly level and long gravel slips (easily accommodated our 55+ foot parade with room to spare). Full hookups including a rusty CATV wire that provided static on every channel found. 3-4 bars and the ubiquitous AT&T “5G” label which has provided steady steaming of TV (too lazy to deploy Dishy for one night stands) as well as 🏄. Given what we have seen from walking around, and the exterior of the office, we felt the laundry and bathrooms were better left unseen. Office was closed at 4 when we arrived so we don’t know about the internet-it looked like they have it but the reservation slip taped to the office door for us only had a bathroom code, no internet password. I think we paid $45, and it is supposedly a Good Sam site. We chose it because it was the only place with pull-thru sites in the Mobile area that had availability. I gave it a 3.5 out of 5.

Nice small campground close to mobile. Several full time RVs that could use a bit of TLC. Truck across the street from us had flat tires and looks like it had been there for awhile. Staff super friendly and helpful staff = they want to “tidy” up however staffing is hard to find like everywhere these days. They have a small area for laundry and mail- we did not do laundry here so I can’t comment on that. We have a 41’ tow hauler and had lots of room to park with no tree issues. We walked our dog around the neighborhood and felt very safe - you do need to watch out for other animals though.
