Shenandoah Valley Campground is conveniently located at 296 Riner Ln, Verona, VA 24482, USA. This prime address places it squarely within the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, a region of Virginia renowned for its stunning landscapes, rich history, and abundant outdoor activities. Verona itself is a small community in Augusta County, offering a peaceful backdrop while maintaining excellent accessibility to larger towns and major interstates. The campground is nestled within a 1.5-mile horseshoe bend of the Middle River, providing picturesque views and direct river access for fishing and other water-based fun. Its location offers an "easy drive" without the need to navigate "small backroads," making it highly accessible for all types of vehicles, including RVs. For those traveling through or looking for a stress-free arrival, this is a significant advantage. While one reviewer mentioned that sites can be "very short" for "large 5th wheel" RVs and may require unhitching, the campground does offer various site types, including "large shaded pull thrus" and "shaded back-ins along the river" designed to accommodate a range of RV sizes, some fitting vehicles up to 60 feet long. However, it is advisable for those with very large rigs to confirm site specifics when booking. The proximity to Interstate 81 (Exit 227) ensures easy access from across Virginia, allowing for convenient travel to and from the campground. Nearby towns like Staunton (just a short drive away) offer a full range of amenities, including grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping, ensuring campers have everything they need within easy reach. This combination of natural beauty and practical accessibility makes Shenandoah Valley Campground an ideal base for exploring the wider Shenandoah Valley region, including Shenandoah National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and numerous vineyards and historic sites.

This is our favorite local campground. The waterfall there is beautiful, which of course you can't find anywhere else! The pool is heated, so it is comfortable even in the spring and fall, in addition to the hot tubs. The whole atmosphere is family and dog friendly. We have been camping here for 3 years now, just made our first visit this year, and It was a great time, as expected! My husband enjoys fishing in the river, they also have a stocked pond/lake, but he's caught huge trout in the river! My youngest daughter wanted to take our camper for her birthday, and the staff was especially welcoming and sweet to her, once they heard she was turning 7. The shower and restroom facilities are always clean and well cared for, and enjoy the DJ on Friday & Saturday nights, as well as the pancake breakfast on weekend mornings. Last but not least, don't forget all of the bunny rabbits, all over! We bring baby carrots to feed them, which they absolutely love, although the store does sell bags of pellet rabbit food, you will have all the rabbits visiting you with the baby carrots, and most of them will take it right out of your hand!

Charming campground with beautiful waterfall. We only stayed one night as we were traveling through area. This campground is great for families and small trailers and tent camping. We were pulling a large 5th wheel and sites were very short. We had to unhitch vehicle and even then there was very little room on the site for it. There are rabbits, lots and lots of rabbits. They were extremely entertaining. Many activities for children. Beautiful pool and an easy walk to waterfall. This may not be important but there is very little cell service. I would say Verizon has NONE. WIFI did not work from our site and tv antenna picked up no local channels.

We had a great time at Shenandoah Valley Campground! The location by the river was perfect, and we loved being able to enjoy the water so easily. Tubing was one of the highlights of our trip – it was so much fun, and the rental fee of just $10 was very reasonable. Another bonus was the affordable firewood, which made our campfires even more enjoyable. If you’re planning to visit, we highly recommend the non-hookup sites right by the river. They offer beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere – definitely the best spots in the campground! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back again. This is a great place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous time! The ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful waterfall, tubing, putt putt, nice playgrounds, basketball, volleyball, hot tub room(4), heated pool, comfortable beds, and fishing lake. Couldn't ask for more. The bunnies are cute but they’re overtaking the place. Holes and bunny poop covers everything…playground, putt putt, everywhere. But it was a great place and we’ll be back!

Beautiful valley with campground right be the river. Small but pretty waterfall that is easy to access. Sites were decent size with picnic tables and fire pits. When people say there are lots of bunnies it is no exaggeration. There are bunnies in every direction. Dogs loved it. Staff is very nice. Would suggest that they add a place to put your toiletries in the shower. Small chair or shelf.
