My husband and I recently stayed at Spacious Skies Campgrounds - Walnut Grove in Alfred, ME, and we had a wonderful experience! We booked one of their tiny cabins and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and well-equipped it was. The cabin had A/C, a small fridge, a TV, and three beds — perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. It also came with clean bed sheets and towels, which was a nice touch. Outside, we had our own picnic table and fire pit, which made for some cozy evenings. The shower and restroom facilities are located in the main building, just a short 2-minute walk from our cabin — very convenient and everything was clean and well-maintained. The campground itself is mostly geared toward RVs, but they do have three of these cute tiny cabins. There's a pool, some arcades, and a small shop on-site, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a great place to unwind and enjoy nature without giving up comfort. We’d definitely come back!
Jul 11, 2025 · Marina YakymenkoWe had such a fantastic experience here. Our 2 sons with Autism were greeted several times by various staff including the manager Shelley. Upon arrival our original site was not available and we got to choose a different site. The staff including the manager were constantly out on the grounds working and always waving and smiling at guests. It is not easy to take autistic children to a unknown place, but yet they felt comfortable and had so much fun! Thank you to the staff for a week of fun! We will be back!
Aug 11, 2025 · Lori TharpeMy wife and I stayed here 6/13/2025to 6/15/2025, Fathers Day weekend for the first time. We only live about 20 minutes away and had never heard of this campground before. We got an unbelievable site and had an incredible time. The Manager Shelly was so professional and polite. We also got to meet one of the maintenance employee, Noah, and the front desk person, Celeste they were both very polite and helpful. The campground was very neat and groomed. We were very surprised at the size of the sites and how easy it was to bring in our 5th wheel. We were told about their Loyalty program and signed up when we got home. We will definitely be going back again this year.
Jun 20, 2025 · KevenNot welcoming. Stayed in cabin 9- broken dresser, not one hook to hang anything, no inside tables, Everything just placed on floor. TV not working and no remote. I fixed TV and new (unprogramed) remote showed up 2 day after staff notified. Never had a good night sleep with old mattress springs poking through and sagging in the middle. Definitely not enough room for 2 larger people. The Worst-- no hot water for 3 days (was told to use the pool?¿). Office not open until 10; closed before stated time of 4 pm. Picnic table in very poor shapes with splinter wood seats. Need of a new handyman/manager that knows what they're doing. Not a friendly, welcoming environment. Would not recommend nor return.
Aug 06, 2025 · karen BroussardWe had a great long weekend at the campground staying in one of the cabins. We arrived well after check-in time, but they had our packet ready for us at the office. We had an issue during our stay after hours, but it was quickly responded to and resolved by management. They had some really fun activities for the 4th of July. There is a fenced in dog area. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We will definitely come again!
