St. Clements Crossing Manufactured Home Community, nestled in Lexington Park, MD, is one such option that has a diverse range of feedback from residents and visitors alike. If you're considering a move to St. Mary's County and are curious about community living, understanding what St. Clements Crossing offers is key to making an informed decision.
St. Clements Crossing is marketed as a unique manufactured home community "designed for the convenience of our residents," aiming to provide a comfortable and family-friendly environment. Proponents highlight its well-maintained properties and friendly interactions, suggesting a pleasant living experience for many. It's often seen as a place where you can find "nice people" and a sense of community. The presence of professional management is emphasized, with the goal of handling day-to-day responsibilities so residents can "enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds and contemporary amenities."
However, it's essential to present a balanced perspective based on all available public feedback. While some reviews praise the community's upkeep and resident interactions, others raise significant concerns regarding safety, lot sizes, overall property condition, and perceived high lot rents. These contrasting views underscore the importance of a thorough, factual overview to help prospective Maryland residents set realistic expectations. This article will delve into the community's location, its advertised services and amenities, and provide direct contact information, empowering you to explore if St. Clements Crossing aligns with your ideal living situation in Southern Maryland.

The location offers a blend of community living with convenient access to key local points of interest. It's situated "just 5 miles from California," a prominent census-designated place in St. Mary's County that serves as a major commercial hub. This means residents have easy access to essential amenities, including "shopping at Walmart, Lowes, and Michaels," along with various dining options like "Linda's Café and Sawatdee Thai." This accessibility to daily necessities is a crucial factor for mobile home park residents who may prefer to live slightly removed from dense urban centers but still require convenient services.

-
Professional Management Staff: The community advertises an "experienced and professional management staff" that "handles the day-to-day responsibilities of the community." One positive review supports this, noting no issues and praising the management.

-
Pet-Friendly Community: St. Clements Crossing explicitly welcomes "furry family members," making it a "pet-friendly community." This policy is a significant service for many Maryland households.
-
New Home Sales: The community facilitates the sale of "brand new 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home" with modern features and appliances, suggesting they can assist prospective residents in acquiring a manufactured home for placement within the park.
-
Utility Infrastructure: While residents typically pay for their own utilities (water, sewer, electricity), the community provides the necessary hookups on each lot to facilitate these services.
However, it's important to acknowledge contrasting feedback. One negative review stated, "Streets small. And lot to high," which could relate to the perceived value of the services offered versus the cost of lot rent. Prospective residents should inquire directly about current lot rent, what specific services are included, and what residents are responsible for.
St. Clements Crossing Manufactured Home Community highlights several features designed to create a desirable living environment for its residents in Lexington Park, MD. These features aim to combine the benefits of homeownership with community amenities.

It also offers access to attractions like Patuxent River Naval Air Museum, Historic St. Mary's City, and The Maryland Dove, making it easy for residents to engage in local activities.
However, it is crucial to address the contrasting feedback, which raises concerns about potential drawbacks:
-
Site Density and Aesthetics: One review stated, "Trailers to close. All of them are junk. Too loud. Streets small." This suggests that while there are new homes, some older units might be present, and the density of sites could be a concern for some, impacting perceived quietness and aesthetics. The "streets small" comment relates to internal navigation.
-
Lot Rent Perception: The comment "lot to high" indicates that some residents perceive the monthly lot rent as not providing sufficient value for the living experience, especially in light of other perceived issues.
-
Safety Concerns (Broader Area): While a positive review noted "no one's ever been rude," broader community feedback for Lexington Park can include discussions on safety in certain areas, though not directly tied to St. Clements Crossing itself. This suggests being aware of the general area. One review noted "People try to fight you for not even doing anything. If you have and money you better not bring it here. You will get bullied and it would be stollen so fast you wouldn't even know." While this may be an extreme view, it highlights that the broader area can have varying perceptions of safety.
Potential residents should weigh these points carefully and visit the community to form their own opinion on the current conditions and atmosphere.
Based on publicly available information, St. Clements Crossing Manufactured Home Community offers various incentives and promotions, particularly for those looking to purchase a new manufactured home and reside in the community. These are more aligned with sales incentives rather than temporary discounts on lot rent.
-
New Home Incentives: The community's official online presence (such as on Bayshore Home Sales or RHP Properties sites) often advertises specific offers for new home buyers:
- Up to $8,000 Move-In Bonus: This is a significant incentive designed to assist with the costs associated with moving into a new home.
- Referral Rewards Up to $1,000: Suggests an incentive for current residents who refer new buyers to the community, or for new buyers who are referred.
- $200 Off When You Request a Tour: A direct incentive for prospective residents to visit and engage with the community.
- Up to 2 Months Free Site Rent: This is a substantial offer, directly reducing the initial living costs for new residents.
-
Value Proposition (Better Than Renting): While not a promotion in the typical sense, a core "offer" is the value proposition that owning a manufactured home in St. Clements Crossing "is Better Than Renting an Apartment." This is often highlighted with benefits like "No Shared Walls" and the overall affordability of homeownership compared to traditional rental markets.
It is important to note that these promotions are likely tied to the purchase of a new manufactured home through the community or its affiliates and are subject to terms and conditions, including eligibility requirements and expiration dates. Prospective residents should confirm these offers directly with the community's sales or management team.
