Services Offered

Summit Village, as an RV park, provides the core services expected to support long-term RV living. These services are fundamental to ensuring that residents can comfortably utilize their recreational vehicles as their homes.

  • RV Lot Rentals: The primary service offered is the rental of individual lots designed to accommodate recreational vehicles. These lots serve as a permanent or semi-permanent base for residents' RVs.

  • Utility Hookups: Essential utility connections are provided at each lot. This typically includes electrical hookups (which can vary in amperage, such as 30-amp or 50-amp), water hookups, and sewer connections for proper waste disposal. These are crucial for the functionality of an RV as a residence.

  • On-site Management Presence: While specific details about the management's day-to-day presence vary, the park structure suggests there is an administrative or management team responsible for lot rentals, maintenance coordination, and addressing resident concerns. The presence of an office (implied by the "lot 239" in the address, often indicating an office or central point within a larger complex) indicates a point of contact for residents.

  • Roads and Infrastructure: The park maintains internal roads to allow residents to access their individual lots. As with any residential community, the upkeep of these roads and general infrastructure is part of the provided service to ensure accessibility within the park.

For prospective residents, it is highly advisable to confirm the exact nature and reliability of these services, particularly regarding utility specifics and any associated costs beyond the lot rent, directly with the park management.

Promotions or Special Offers

  • Monthly Lot Rent: Understand the exact cost of the monthly lot rent and what it specifically includes (e.g., water, sewer, trash removal, basic internet if applicable).

  • Utility Costs: Clarify how utilities such as electricity are billed – whether they are sub-metered and paid separately by the resident, or if a portion is included in the rent.

  • Lease Terms: Inquire about the typical lease duration for RV lots (e.g., month-to-month, 6-month, annual) and any conditions for lease renewals or increases.

  • Application Process and Fees: Ask about any application fees, background checks, or deposit requirements for new residents.

  • Any Current Incentives: While not publicly advertised, it's always worth asking if there are any current move-in specials or discounts for committing to a longer lease period.

Lived here for several years until the constant lot rent increases made it unaffordable. The home we were sold was remodeled using cheap materials and shotty work, three years and the floors had fallen through due to the negligence of their maintenance staff and contractors leaving the bottom of the trailer exposed to the elements. We moved out as the home was in disrepair and we couldn't afford to stay the park manager offered to broker the home to which I agreed she said she hadn't done so before and gave me a partially filled out agreement. The only time she made an effort to sell was when she received a lot rent payment and even then all that was done was a Facebook post not even a for sale sign. I asked to speak to a regional manager and they refused! After I had enough of paying inflated lot rent their mortgage serving agent which is just UMH under a different name, they don't tell you this in closing, repossessed the trailer and sold it back to themselves. They then took me to court for lot rent for the time they had possession of the trailer and refused to negotiate because, it's not the park managers call, maybe if she spent more time at work and less on vacation she would know what's going on in her park, although I'm sure she does know her staff AKA her sons use the park equipment to do a side business that is when he's not sleeping in the truck behind the office. Overall steer clear of doing business with this location or any held by UMH they have no care or compassion for their residents. The homes are poorly maintained and you'll find the streets covered in snow and ice in the winter. The only time they will be considerate to you is when you have paid the ever increasing rent. If you do end up here make sure you document absolutely everything, you'll need it in the end.

Our family have lived at Summit Village for over two years now and we love it out here. The management and maintenance workers are Johnny on the spot if something needs fixed. The grounds are well kept. They care about there the people that live out here. The area out here is so peaceful. The management go above and beyond to treat there tenants real good. And mowing is our responsibility but it doesn't take long to mow and weed or trim.

Changing this after living here almost 2 years. To be clear the people that work here are cool and awesome! The pricing that corporate has for TRAILER rent is outrageous. And they raised it almost $50. Real picky about mowing the grass and next to no yard and they wanna charge $750 a month? It's price gauging at its finest. Do better. Again the corporate greed is why I am giving this 1 star. The employees that work in my park are awesome. Trailers are decent but not $700 a month decent, house payments are less than this come on. - Update rent has been raised again almost 800/month for a trailer?? It is laughable at this point. Moving ASAP you can screw over someone else.

We went to inquire about renting/buying and the person at the front desk knew absolutely nothing. Manager was on vacation. But she should have more information than what she did. And the prices she was quoting on what she did know was extremely high.
