This suggests an ideal retreat for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the tranquility of rural Ohio. Yet, despite its peaceful setting, it's "conveniently located, making it easy to get to and from," offering the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility. For Ohio locals, this RV park represents an opportunity for an unforgettable stay, whether for a few days or an extended period, promising not just a spot for your RV but a community experience you won't want to leave.

Location and Accessibility

The Outer Bend LLC is conveniently located at 41958 OH-689, Albany, OH 45710, USA. This address places it within Athens County in southeastern Ohio, a region renowned for its natural beauty, including the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and close proximity to popular outdoor destinations like the Wayne National Forest and Hocking Hills.

Ohio State Route 689 is a well-maintained state highway, ensuring easy access for RVs of all sizes. The description of it being on a "quiet little country road" further emphasizes its serene setting, away from heavy traffic and urban noise, yet still very accessible. Albany, while a smaller community, offers a sense of local charm and provides basic services. The review specifically highlights its convenient location, making it "easy to get to and from," which is a significant advantage for RV travelers who prioritize straightforward navigation and accessibility to major routes for onward journeys or day trips.

For Ohio residents, this location makes The Outer Bend LLC an ideal base for exploring the rich outdoor offerings of southeastern Ohio. It's close enough for a weekend escape from larger cities like Columbus or Cincinnati, yet remote enough to feel like a true getaway. The relative proximity to attractions in the Hocking Hills region means campers can enjoy a peaceful stay at the RV park while still having opportunities for hiking, kayaking, and exploring caves within a reasonable drive. This strategic placement offers the best of both worlds: tranquil park living and convenient access to regional adventures.

Services Offered

The Outer Bend LLC distinguishes itself with an impressive array of services that go far beyond standard RV park offerings, focusing heavily on guest comfort, community, and genuine hospitality. Based on customer reviews, here are some of the key services provided:

  • Full RV Hookups: While not explicitly detailed, the nature of an RV park implies and reviews confirm the availability of full hookups (water, electric, and potentially sewer) for RVs. Gary's assistance in "getting everything set up in our (new-to-us) RV" strongly suggests comprehensive support for hookups.

  • Exceptional Hospitality and Personal Assistance: Owners Tracy and Gary are highlighted for being "incredibly kind" and "more than happy to accommodate" any "question, want, or need." This includes hands-on help with RV setup, and even assistance with specific RV maintenance (like water heater installation). This level of personal care is a standout service.

  • Communal Dining Experiences: Tracy regularly cooks "amazing meals" for guests, as evidenced by detailed accounts of Sunday breakfasts and BBQ gatherings. This is a highly unusual and deeply appreciated service that fosters community among campers.

  • Complimentary Firewood and Fire Pits: Guests are provided with "access to fire pits, and free firewood," a significant value-add, as many other parks charge for firewood. This encourages communal campfires and enhances the outdoor experience.

  • High-Speed Wi-Fi: "They’ve provided us with WiFi," which is a crucial amenity for many modern travelers, allowing for connectivity, work, and entertainment even in a peaceful, rural setting.

  • Rental RV Availability: The "rental RV, The Catalina," which was "equipped with all the comforts of home, very clean and smelled amazing," indicates a service for those who want the RV experience without owning their own rig, or for guests visiting friends already staying at the park.

  • Planned Communal Outdoor Kitchen and Deck: There are ongoing developments, including a "large deck situated in the middle of the property, which will include a communal outdoor kitchen." This indicates a commitment to enhancing shared spaces and community interaction.

  • General Support and Convenience: The review mentions that Tracy and Gary "got covered" for anything from "hooking up your RV or even printing a document," showcasing a wide range of helpful, ad-hoc services that contribute significantly to guest comfort.

  • Valuable Amenities and Inclusions: The provision of "WiFi, access to fire pits, and free firewood" stands out. The complimentary firewood is especially appreciated by guests, as it's often a charged amenity elsewhere, demonstrating an extra level of thoughtfulness from the owners.

  • Convenient Location with Local Dining Gem: Despite its quiet country setting, the park is "conveniently located." Promotions or Special Offers

  • Free Firewood: The explicit mention of "free firewood" for the fire pits is a valuable perk, as many RV parks and campgrounds charge for this essential amenity. This cost saving is a clear benefit to guests.

  • Personalized RV Setup Assistance: Gary's hands-on help with setting up new RVs and even assisting with repairs like water heater installation acts as an invaluable, complimentary service, saving guests potential headaches and expenses.

  • Rental RV Availability: Offering "The Catalina" as a clean, fully equipped rental RV provides flexibility and convenience for those without their own RV, or for family/friends visiting guests, essentially a ready-made "package" for an enjoyable stay.

: We’ve been guests at The Outer Bend, LLC for a couple of weeks now and couldn’t be more pleased with everything we’ve experienced! Tracy has cooked us amazing meals on the past two Sundays. One week, she made steak, eggs, and hash browns, and just this past Sunday, she grilled brats, hot dogs, and chicken, served with chili, cheese, onions, pasta salad, and even cake! Anytime my husband or I have had a question, want, or need, Tracy and Gary have been more than happy to accommodate us. They are both incredibly kind, and their property offers beautiful views in a peaceful environment. It’s very quiet—well, except when our dogs bark! 😅 It’s also conveniently located, making it easy to get to and from. Gary has been a huge help getting everything set up in our (new-to-us) RV, and we’ve even made new friends. A former guest, who has become close to Gary and now to us, just helped my husband install a water heater. 🙏 We can’t say enough good things about the property and the care and kindness Tracy and Gary have shown us during our stay. Oh, and the stars at night? They are UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL! You have to see them for yourself! They’ve provided us with WiFi, access to fire pits, and free firewood (though with current fire warnings, we’re holding off for safety reasons). Where we’ve stayed before, they charged for firewood, so we really appreciate seeing that extra touch here. Right now, Gary and our new friend Rick are working on building a large deck situated in the middle of the property, which will include a communal outdoor kitchen! In short, we highly recommend staying at The Outer Bend, LLC, if you want to feel safe, comfortable, and surrounded by good people who genuinely care about making your stay enjoyable. Whether it’s hooking up your RV or even printing a document, they’ve got you covered. Come stay at The Outer Bend—you won’t regret it! 😌 Oh and then go down the road and find RAY’s HARVEST HOUSE! Best pulled pork and French fries and onion rings I’ve had maybe EVER! And the prices cannot be beat! We look forward to trying pretty much every single thing on their menu!

The Outer Bend is a fantastic RV location. It has full hookups including sewer. It is centrally located between Athens and Jackson. They are pet friendly and our dog loved it. It is very peaceful and tranquil. Our 32 ft camper fit with zero issues. We saw lots of wildlife. The owners are very helpful and considerate. We didn't have an extension cord and they loaned us one. There are fire rings for a nightly fire. We will definitely be back. Also, our Verizon internet worked great and our Dish satellite had excellent reception. A+++

Outer Bend is a great camp ground. Full hook ups with everything conveniently located. Our 37' motor home fits perfectly with plenty of room. The owners are on site and extremely courteous and helpful. The location is a country setting with easy access to Jackson and Athens. I would recommend this camp ground to everyone who likes to get away from the crowded camp grounds.
