Tinsley's Old 66 Highway RV Park is known for its no-frills, efficient approach to RV accommodation. It caters primarily to travelers, including what guests describe as "working travelers," who appreciate a straightforward place to plug in, rest, and move on. The park's appeal lies in its ease of access, affordable rates, and the friendly, accommodating nature of its owner. For local Oklahomans, this park offers a quick and easy solution for RV needs when exploring the western part of the state or traversing one of America's most famous roads. It’s a functional and welcoming spot where the priority is a peaceful night's sleep before the next leg of your adventure.
Tinsley's Old 66 Highway RV Park is ideally located at 2701 E Main St, Weatherford, OK 73096, USA. This address places it directly on East Main Street, which is a segment of the historic Route 66. This prime location is a significant draw, especially for those who are traveling along the legendary highway, offering a convenient pull-off point.
Its position right off Route 66 (Main Street) makes it extremely easy to access for incoming and outgoing RVs. While it's near the highway, reviews suggest it offers a relatively quiet environment for rest. Weatherford is a well-known town in Western Oklahoma, situated along I-40, which also enhances its accessibility for a broader range of travelers. Although one review mentions a "very tiny bridge" that "big rigs" might need to navigate if following specific Google Maps directions, highlighting the importance of checking clearance or seeking an alternative route, the overall consensus is that it's an "easy place to stop." This accessibility, combined with its simple, direct approach, makes it a practical choice for Oklahomans on the move.
Tinsley's Old 66 Highway RV Park focuses on providing core services essential for RV travelers, ensuring a convenient and efficient stop. Based on customer reviews, the primary services offered include:
- Electricity Hookups: Essential for running AC and other appliances, electricity hookups are readily available at sites.
- Water Hookups: Fresh water connections are provided at sites, allowing guests to refill their tanks or have continuous water access.
- Dump Stations: On-site dump stations make it convenient for RVers to empty their black and grey water tanks before continuing their journey.
- Pull-Through Sites: The park offers easy pull-through sites, which are particularly beneficial for larger rigs, simplifying parking and departure.

It's important to note the mention of a "very tiny bridge" in Google Maps directions that could be a clearance issue for "big rigs," advising travelers to check their route. Also, the concern about a tied-up dog mentioned in one review indicates a potential area for improvement regarding pet welfare, though this may reflect an individual situation rather than a park-wide policy.
Given the nature of Tinsley's Old 66 Highway RV Park as a straightforward, budget-friendly overnight stop, it typically operates with a consistent, low daily rate rather than complex promotional schemes. The primary "offer" is its competitive daily price of approximately $25, which is already a significant advantage for travelers looking to manage their costs.
It is unlikely that the park would offer traditional discounts like seasonal rates or long-term stay promotions, as its model appears to focus on transient guests. However, interested individuals could always contact the park directly to inquire if there are any specific circumstances that might lead to a different rate, such as for very short, daytime stops (though this is less common).
The consistent low price is a major part of its appeal, ensuring transparency and predictability for those planning their travel budgets along Route 66. For the most up-to-date pricing or any rare special circumstances, direct communication with the park management via the provided phone numbers is the best approach.

Customer Reviews
This place is right off route 66 we are traveling in a van so just paid for power to run our AC. the guy who ownes the place was super friendly. We pulled up plugged in and crashed out, nobody bothered us it was pretty private. It's not sketchy, everyone there looked to be working travelers. We enjoyed our rest then moved on the next day, it was only $25 so that was nice.
This spot right on old route 66 slightly pulled us in and storms up ahead made us feel this was the safest spot for the night. We ended up pulling over here one evening on our road trip back to WI from the desert for a peaceful nights sleep with electricity/water hook ups and dump stations with easy pull through. $25 a night, not bad.. We were excited to have electricity to turn on our air for a night as we had been driving through hot temps all day. The gentleman who helped us check in was friendly and he made it very welcoming, he wasn't on sight when we called but he got there super fast when we said we were close by. I can see how it could get crowded (what RV park doesn't these days), but it was a quiet place to stop and get a good nights sleep with plenty of grass for the dogs to roam. The only downfall (which is huge for us dog lovers) was the poor dog tied up alone outside a trailer across from us for the whole time we stayed, even through the night. That is not cool in our book and that would not be happening with animals if we ran an rv park. You don't get to have animals and just leave them tied up outside for days alone. We left the poor dog food and water and booked out of there so our hearts didn't break even more listening to this poor pup cry for attention. You would think the people who run the place would care a little more too.... And a heads up because we saw no warnings, Big rigs there is also a very tiny bridge you will have to fit your rig through if you go the directions google takes you off the highway, make sure you have clearance before attempting to fit through, otherwise you may have to take a small detour to get around. (Our 32' made it but it was tight). Nice, easy, friendly place to stop for a night though, minus the dog situation.
Park is some what run down. There were fireants s everywhere on my site. The people were very nice but the park seems to be folks who live there in older RVs. Good news is they had 50 amp and pull throughs
A nice, friendly place. Little to offer in amenities, but had good electricity, water, and sewer. Was kind of crowded, but we only needed one night and this fit the bill well for a very reasonable price. I would come here again. The gentleman who serviced us was welcoming and helpful.
This place is a normal camp ground, 5 star owners are the best. We were traveling to Arkansas but the wind wasn’t cooperating , so we called for a spot for the night. Sure come on in. Was so welcoming, and very very reasonable. Thank you.
