Located conveniently close to the greater Houston area, Twin Lakes RV Resort provides a refreshing escape from the urban hustle.

What truly sets Twin Lakes RV Resort apart, as highlighted by loyal patrons, is its dedication to providing excellent open water swimming conditions. One long-standing review praises it as a "Nice place for open water swimming," enjoyed for "10 years every Sunday mornings during the late spring, summer and early fall," and is "Highly recommended place for pro swimmers." This commitment to maintaining a quality environment for a specialized activity speaks volumes about the resort's unique appeal and the consistent satisfaction of its dedicated user base.

The resort also receives appreciation for its management and owners who are lauded for "keeping the prices low." This focus on affordability, combined with unique recreational offerings, contributes significantly to its popularity among both recreational users and long-term RV guests. While a more recent review from August 2024 raised a safety concern regarding the visible presence of a firearm and suggested clearer rules, an earlier 2021 review described a "very calm atmosphere" and "plenty of distance between each group," indicating that the overall vibe can be quite serene, especially during less busy times. The flexible entry system with a pay box, allowing early access, further adds to the convenience and relaxed atmosphere.

Manvel itself is known for its evolving landscape, transitioning from predominantly agricultural roots to a vibrant suburban area. Residents and visitors to Twin Lakes RV Resort benefit from relatively easy access to essential services within Manvel and neighboring towns. This includes grocery stores, gas stations, local dining establishments, and other everyday conveniences, ensuring that campers have access to necessities without venturing far.

One of the most significant advantages of Twin Lakes RV Resort's location is its close proximity to Houston. The resort is typically within a 30 to 45-minute drive of downtown Houston, depending on traffic. This makes it an ideal base for RVers who wish to explore Houston's world-class attractions, including its vibrant culinary scene, museums, professional sports venues, and numerous entertainment options. It also provides a convenient spot for those working on short-term contracts or projects in the greater Houston area.

Accessibility from major roadways is also excellent. The resort is likely just a short drive from State Highway 288, a key north-south freeway connecting Houston to the coast. The ease of access from major routes means less time navigating complex city streets and more time enjoying the resort's unique offerings.

While the resort offers a serene open-water environment, its location also provides reasonable access to the coastal attractions of Galveston Island, typically an hour or so drive away, allowing for day trips to the beach or Kemah Boardwalk for a change of scenery. This blend of peaceful, unique on-site recreation and proximity to major urban and coastal highlights makes Twin Lakes RV Resort a strategically well-placed destination for RV enthusiasts in Texas.

Review from August 2024: We went on a Saturday early morning and enjoyed arriving at a very calm atmosphere. However with a few hours it started to get busy and we noticed that a shirtless man in the group next to us had a gun showing hanging on his belt. In the paper of rules that they gave us upon entry, I don't remember seeing anything about guns being prohibited so we'd really appreciate that being added and emphasized before entry. It was very worrisome to experience this and we hope it's taken seriously. Original review in 2021: Went today for the first time and really enjoyed it! We'll definitely be back. It was pretty empty, only 2 other groups when we showed up at 10 am but the gate was closed and there was no one. We just put our money in the pay box and walked over to our spot. At around 11:30 an employee came up to us & told us the gate was now open and we could bring our car to our spot. At around 3 more people started showing up but even then there was plenty of distance between each group and a very calm vibe overall. Loved it!

This is a very clean and fun place to hang out with the family!!! The water is clear and blue! When we went the water was cold at first but warmed up and was absolutely fun swimming and jumping in! It’s an $11 for adults and I believe 2 and under are free $5 per kid and you’re able to rent a pavilion which is basically covered picnic tables $10 rental for life jackets as well must return by 5pm or will be charged a $5 late fee. There is a paper they give you that states the rules such as no alcohol, no glass, no pets, etc but overall it’s a really cool and nice place for your family to hang out and be!!! No lifeguard on duty must swim at own risk as well.

This place is absolutely great for long-term camping! Our daughter stayed here in our RV while going to U of H during the spring semester this year (soooo much cheaper than apartment costs). 23 miles from campus and within minutes of any food or shopping she needed. The Rv park itself was quiet, and her neighbors were great and helpful when she needed them! The owner was easy to work with and quick to take care of anything we had an issue with! This is definitely a park we will be looking to come back to for her future semesters of schooling!

Listen to the bad reviews they are correct. save your money and go somewhere else. Workers are extremely rude young adults/teenagers that are unprofessional. Every single worker we encountered was rude. They were about to close so we started putting our stuff up and workers kept on coming and bugging us even tho it was obvious that we were already getting ready to go because they saw us putting everything up. Had 1 African male security just sit there and stare at us with a mad face, and 2 Hispanic males speeding every time they would pass us up in an attempt to intimidate us. Definitely not going back ever again and would recommend you go somewhere else , there are way better places out there that don’t condone these type of behaviors and are actually kind and professional.
