Walter Jonson Park RV Campground offers a distinct value proposition through its pricing structure, which in itself acts as a form of promotion, especially for longer stays. The daily rate is noted at $15, which some may consider a bit high for a city park campground. However, this perspective changes significantly when considering the amenities provided, particularly its availability during winter, when other options with electric and showers might be scarce or more expensive. The weekly and monthly rates are specifically highlighted as "pretty reasonable," making the park a very attractive option for those planning extended visits to Coffeyville or the surrounding area.
While no explicit "promotions" in the traditional sense (like percentage off for certain groups) are mentioned, the reasonable long-term rates serve as a consistent and clear benefit. This tiered pricing model encourages longer stays, directly rewarding guests who choose to settle in for more than just a night. For travelers who prioritize affordability for extended periods and access to essential amenities year-round, these rates are a significant draw. Potential campers are encouraged to inquire directly about the current weekly and monthly rates to see how they align with their travel plans and budget, ensuring they take full advantage of this cost-effective option.

Customer Reviews
Though there are 2 pdfs you can download with important information, neither of them mention where the campgrounds & restrooms are or what the check out time is. Repeated calls were not answered, but I managed to figure it out. The woods campground ( which is the $15 campground) is not the campground on Wood St. The $15 campground is on Hargis & 8th. The showers are behind the dump station, which is also on Hargis. Push button showers ( the shower goes off every 3- 5 minutes - no big deal. You just have to push the button again ) they weren't hot but they were warm enough. Not the best layout but also not the worst. $15 seems a bit high for a city park campground but if you are needing a place with showers or electric it is one of the only places that stays open with those amenities in the winter. Nice level parking areas and plenty of sites. Though I didn't need to stay for more than a night, the weekly and monthly rates seem pretty reasonable.
We are from NY and were doing Rt 66 and on our return trip, we were looking for a place to dump our black water. We googled it and came across this little gem of a park! This was on the 29th of September and there were only a scattered few other souls in residence. Some people require fancy amenities to occupy their time. Not us. Everything we needed was right there, and hardly any distractions! The honor system was charming and the place was neat as a pin. We only wish there was some kind of list somewhere of other places like this , if they even exist, so we could use them exclusively when we travel. Thank you; we will be back.
Grounds well kept, rent rate was good. Added feature just a few hundred feet ( within walking distance) junior college boys baseball field is located. Park area is available for different activities. Early August city/county hold the annual fair and rodeo. For additional events contact the Coffeyville Chamber .
Great park; can't beat the price. Wonderful water pressure! Only complaint is that some sites could be longer for.longer rigs. No room to park our pickup after unhooking; didn't want to park on grass.
Lots of mosquitoes! Nothing fancy, near fairground. Has full hookups. We paid $15.00 per night.
