First of all, this is a great central location close to much of the southern Maine Coast; drivable to Ogunquit, Kennybunkport, Saco, Old Orchard, Freeport, and Portland. A Maine Eastern Trail cycling/walking entrance is a short bike ride down the road. The Eastern Trail is still broken up into disconnected segments, but you can traverse regular roads to make the connections. There is a beautiful marsh area right down the road with a lovely walking path. The campground itself is decent, in a grove of giant lovely pine trees. But the desireability of the individual sites varies so carefully peruse the site map. The pull through sites in the middle are ok, but the exterior circle is much nicer. The front sites are brighter with nicer views than the back sites. In general the sites are small, but pretty comparable to most campgrounds these days. Most have power, water and sewer hookups. There are only a few 50amp sites, most are 30amp. All sites have a picnic tables and a fire pit. The bathhouse is clean. 2 showers in the men's and women's bathrooms. The cleaning crew gets a little grumpy if you are showering when they want to clean. There is a spot outside to wash dishes if you want and a decent washer/dryer room. Cost is $2/load. The woman in the office is very sweet and helpful. They lock the gate at night so be sure to get the codes.
Sep 07, 2025 · Eve ZuberIt was nice and relaxing. Bathrooms outdated and clean. Camping sites are very small, leaving many people to be extremely nosey. If your a POC people's eyes are on you like your a criminal. When at the site we stayed mostly in the tent because of the looks. Overall quiet and peaceful except for the nights people would come in late 11pm set up there camp driving back and forth to bathrooms wakes up other campers that sleep in tents. Not a place for my partner and I to go back too. People running the office was super nice and helpful. Hospitality was on point.
Aug 26, 2025 · Helena GibbCampground owners are so friendly. The sites were clean, some where more spacious than others. Location beautifully situated on the Marsh. Definitely very quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this Campground!
Sep 09, 2025 · Mary GoodmanWe have been spending one week here for 6 consecutive years and we absolutely love it! If you're looking for a quiet peaceful setting near the beach where the only sounds are nature, this is the campground for you! We've already booked our week for 2026!
Aug 06, 2025 · Vickie WymanStayed here on a Saturday just before Memorial Day. The reception was friendly and helpful in locating a good seafood choice (among the many) but with parking for our Class C. The park was nicely located in a quiet area right off a salt marsh. Bathrooms were thoroughly clean. Very nice place relatively close to Old Orchard beach.
