While Woodring Campground, being a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers site, does not typically run commercial promotions or special offers in the same way a private resort might, there are still ways for Georgians to make their visit more cost-effective. Camping fees are structured based on site type (electric/water hookup vs. primitive tent-only) and can range from approximately $18 to $28 per night. Visitors with Interagency Senior or Access Passes (or the legacy Golden Age and Access Passes) may receive a 50% discount on individual campsite use fees. It's always recommended to check the Recreation.gov website for the most current pricing, availability, and to make reservations, which are generally required, especially during peak seasons. Booking well in advance (up to six months out) is highly advised, as the campground can fill up quickly. Additionally, day-use areas at Carters Lake typically charge a $5.00 per vehicle use fee, which can be paid via credit/debit card at automated fee machines or by purchasing an annual pass that grants access to all U.S. Army Corps of Engineers day-use areas. For any specific seasonal discounts or changes in policy, contacting the campground directly or checking their official Recreation.gov listing is the best approach.

Beautiful place, very friendly staff! Don’t give them 5 stars because the bathrooms aren’t clean and they are unisex - so men and women use the same bath and toilets, it creates some chaos - but other than that- the place is amazing!!
