For RV enthusiasts and travelers journeying through the heart of Oklahoma, finding a suitable and practical place to park can be a key part of their travel plans. In Oklahoma City, a city known for its vast expanses and crucial position along major interstates, RV parks serve as essential stops for both short-term visitors and long-term residents. Abe's RV Park, situated conveniently off I-35, represents one such option for those seeking a functional place to stay in their recreational vehicles. It's a park that caters primarily to those looking for an extended stay, offering a different kind of experience than a resort-style campground.
When considering an RV park, what often matters most is the accessibility to essential services, reliable hookups, and a pragmatic approach to daily living on the road. Abe's RV Park, as gathered from public sentiment, positions itself as a practical choice for RVers who prioritize a convenient location and necessary utilities. While some aspects of the park may lean towards a more utilitarian aesthetic, focusing on functionality rather than luxury, it provides a crucial service for the RV community in Oklahoma City. The park's emphasis on long-term stays suggests a community of individuals who are settling in for a while, potentially for work, family, or extended exploration of the Oklahoma area. This can create a unique dynamic where neighbors are more familiar with one another, fostering a different kind of camaraderie than in transient campgrounds.
This overview aims to provide a clear and factual description of Abe's RV Park, based on available public information and resident feedback. We will cover its location, the services it provides, key features, and how it might fit the needs of local RVers or those passing through Oklahoma. Understanding the park's focus and what it offers can help set realistic expectations and determine if it aligns with your specific RV travel or living requirements in Oklahoma City.
Abe's RV Park is strategically located at 12115 N I-35 Service Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, USA. This address places it directly on the service road of one of Oklahoma's most vital interstate highways, I-35. The park's immediate proximity to I-35 is a significant advantage for RVers, offering unparalleled ease of access for those traveling north or south through the state. This location makes it an extremely convenient stop for overnight stays, or for those planning longer visits to the Oklahoma City area without needing to navigate complex city streets. For RVers, quick and easy access to major thoroughfares is often a top priority, minimizing driving time and simplifying arrivals and departures.
While the direct entry into the park from the frontage road has been noted as steep, with visible scrape marks, indicating a caution point for larger rigs, the overall accessibility to the surrounding area remains a key benefit. A notable advantage of this location is its close proximity to essential amenities. Specifically, a Love's Travel Stop is "less than 1/2 mile away," providing convenient access to fuel, truck and RV services, convenience store items, and often fast food options. This proximity to a major travel center is incredibly valuable for RVers, ensuring that necessities are always within easy reach. Furthermore, being located in Oklahoma City means residents and visitors at Abe's RV Park have relatively straightforward access to the city's various attractions, dining, shopping, and employment centers, depending on their specific needs and desired destinations within the metro area. This blend of interstate convenience and nearby practical amenities solidifies its appeal for a certain segment of the RV community.
Abe's RV Park, as a primarily long-term stay facility, may not frequently advertise seasonal or short-term recreational promotions in the same way a vacation-oriented RV resort might. However, it is common for parks that cater to extended stays to offer various incentives to attract and retain long-term residents. These could include discounted monthly rates compared to daily or weekly rates, special pricing for extended commitments (e.g., three-month or six-month stays), or potentially a reduced security deposit for those committing to a longer period. While no specific promotions are publicly available in the provided information, prospective residents are always encouraged to contact Abe's RV Park directly. By calling their phone number, (405) 478-0278, you can inquire about any current long-term stay specials, availability, or any other financial considerations that might make a stay at Abe's more appealing. Direct communication is the best way to uncover any unadvertised offers or flexible arrangements they might have for extended stays in Oklahoma City.

The proactive approach of the staff in verifying electrical connections is a notable highlight, providing a level of safety and assurance that is highly valued by RV owners. For locals who prioritize a functional base over resort-style amenities, Abe's RV Park fulfills a vital need. The park caters to a community that understands its purpose: to provide a practical, accessible, and reliably hooked-up spot for their RV, allowing them to focus on their daily lives or extended travels. For these specific needs, Abe's RV Park stands as a relevant and functional choice for Oklahomans.

This park was okay—not great, but not terrible. We came in with realistic expectations, knowing it was more of a long-term stay park. Some areas were a bit run down and could use some cleanup, and the roads weren’t in the best shape. That said, it does look like there may be plans for expansion. One positive note: the staff was very attentive about checking our electrical hookup to make sure everything was safe and working properly, which we appreciated.
May 17, 2025 · Josh McNurlenNot much to say, the park is not well maintained. Power pedestal was held together with duct tape, stray cats wandered the property, including in and out of unattended trailers. The majority of folks were long-term stays and there was an ample amount of clutter among the trailers. There are no showers or toilets at the park. The sewer pipe at our site was broken and covered with a piece of broken concrete block. Interesting that they inspected and cleaned my power cord and waited at the site till we were connected and I verified the microwave was powered on. Beware the steep entry into the park. There are a lot of scrape marks at the transition from the frontage road into the park. On the upside, Loves was less than 1/2 mile away and had reasonable fuel prices.
May 03, 2025 · Bryan ChumbleyAbe’s is half mile off the exit ramp. It was a great location for the tourist sites we visited. We stayed in the middle part of the park. The highway noise was not a problem for us. Yes, they checked our power cord and waited for our electric to come on before they left our site to make sure everything was ok. They have full hook ups. No amenities. Staff was friendly. We stayed in early Dec traveling through to AZ. We would stay here again. They offer Good Sam, AAA and AARP discounts.
Dec 08, 2024 · Bob McGregorThis place was great. They stayed a little late for us on a Saturday to get us checked in. Yes, they do check your plug on arrival and are prepared to help fix it if necessary. We have heard this is unusual but I’m sure they probably had an event happen that makes this necessary for them. It is not a new fancy campground and the roads are a little rough but their kindness and great customer service make up for it. It is located next to the interstate and yes there is noise from the road. If you are easily bothered by that ask them when you book if they can give you a spot as far back as possible. We were in the very first spot and it did not bother us but we prefer a bit of noise at night. We had a bolt sheer on one of our slides and they gave us a screw that helped us get on the road faster until we can get home and fix it properly. They knew we were brand new to owning an RV and called us before we left to make sure we were very careful leaving because it is a steep drive and didn’t want us to scrape anything. If you are looking for an economical place to park and do not need or want all of the amenities we highly recommend Abe’s. I think a lot of the negative reviews are really just from people that expect too much and/or didn’t want to follow their rules. We will definitely choose Abe’s the next time we go to Oklahoma City.
Jul 02, 2023 · Erica GrahamWe stayed here one night on our way to Missouri and way back home to Texas. Very nice people and a good location. Only things that really need work is the road and sewer system. More pot holes than road. The sewer system, unable to screw the hose on. The connection is below the concrete. It's is right off I35, so yes you can hear road noise, but we did not find it too loud. It's a good overnight stop. We will definitely stay again on our travels.
