When choosing an RV park, local Georgians often seek a balance of accessibility, necessary amenities, and a comfortable environment. This article will delve into what Atlanta Marietta RV Park offers, drawing upon available public information and insights from past visitors to help you determine if it aligns with your travel and accommodation needs.

RV parks play a crucial role in supporting the mobile lifestyle, offering a place to park, hook up utilities, and often access basic facilities. Understanding the specific offerings and the typical guest experience at a park like Atlanta Marietta RV Park is key for a smooth journey. This overview aims to provide a factual perspective on its location, the services you can expect, and a candid look at the experiences shared by previous campers, giving you a comprehensive picture of what it's like to stay at this Marietta RV destination.

Atlanta Marietta RV Park is conveniently situated at 1031 Wylie Rd, Marietta, GA 30067, USA. This address places it within Marietta, a significant and well-known city in Cobb County, Georgia. Marietta itself is part of the larger Atlanta metropolitan area, offering a blend of suburban tranquility and urban accessibility.

The park's location on Wylie Road provides relatively easy access for RVs, as it is typically a less congested road compared to major highways, yet still offers good connectivity. For travelers arriving via major interstates such as I-75 or I-285, reaching the park involves navigating through local Marietta roads, which are generally manageable. This makes it a practical stop for those passing through the Atlanta region or looking for a base while exploring local attractions.

Beyond direct road access, the park's proximity within Marietta means guests are close to a wide array of amenities. Within a short driving distance, visitors can find numerous options for dining, grocery shopping, fuel, RV supplies, and automotive services. This convenience is crucial for RVers who often need quick access to supplies or unexpected repairs, as demonstrated by a reviewer who was able to leave their trailer for tire installation. The strategic placement in a well-developed area like Marietta ensures that guests have essential services readily available, making it a functional choice for various travel needs.

Atlanta Marietta RV Park offers fundamental services designed to cater to the needs of RV travelers. Based on typical RV park operations and customer feedback, the core services provided include:

  • RV Sites with Hookups: The park provides sites equipped with water and power hookups, essential for RV functionality. While a reviewer noted issues with the sewer hookup at their specific site, the intent is to offer full hookup capabilities.
  • Online Booking and After-Hours Check-in: A significant convenience highlighted by a customer is the ability to "book online and able to check in after hours." This flexibility is valuable for travelers with unpredictable arrival times.
  • Trailer Storage/Assistance during Repairs: The park demonstrated flexibility by allowing a customer to "leave our trailer there while we were having a new tire installed." This indicates a level of guest support beyond just parking.
  • Dog Park: The presence of a "dog park" is a dedicated amenity for pet owners, providing a designated area for pets to exercise. However, a reviewer did note an issue with pet waste in a site, suggesting varying cleanliness in specific areas.
  • Management/Staff Availability: While not explicitly detailed, the ability to check in after hours and receive permission to store a trailer implies responsive management or staff support, at least for some services.

It is important to acknowledge that while these services are offered, some customer feedback points to inconsistencies in their execution or condition, such as the noted issues with sewer hookups and site cleanliness. Prospective visitors are encouraged to verify specific service conditions upon arrival.

Atlanta Marietta RV Park presents a mixed bag of features and highlights, reflecting both conveniences and areas where improvement might be desired, based on customer experiences.

  • Convenient Online Booking and After-Hours Access: A major highlight is the park's ability to facilitate "online booking and able to check in after hours." This flexibility is invaluable for travelers, especially those facing unexpected delays or arriving late.
  • Accommodating for Vehicle Issues: The park's willingness to allow a guest to "leave our trailer there while we were having a new tire installed" demonstrates a helpful and accommodating approach in unforeseen circumstances, which is a significant relief for travelers.
  • Dedicated Dog Park: For pet owners, the presence of a "dog park was very nice," providing a specific area for pets to exercise and offering a beneficial amenity for those traveling with animals.
  • Essential Hookups (Water & Power): The park provides fundamental water and power hookups, which are critical for any RV stay, ensuring basic comfort and functionality for campers.

However, it is crucial to also present the significant concerns raised by other customers:

  • Poor Site Condition: Several reviewers highlighted that "Sites are broken concrete & asphalt in very bad shape." This can impact the stability and aesthetic appeal of the parking area for RVs.
  • Cramped Sites: A major issue noted is that sites "are crammed in on top of each other," making it difficult to maneuver. A reviewer specifically mentioned, "We were unable to back all the way into our site, we would have hit the RV awning behind us. You can barely open your slides." This indicates significant challenges with space and privacy between sites.
  • Unsanitary Sewer Hookups: A concerning detail from one review was the decision to "not to use the sewer hookup due to dried up toilet paper & human feces on the ground." This points to serious hygiene issues at individual sites, which is a major health and comfort concern.
  • Inconsistent Cleanliness: While the dog park itself was noted as nice, the specific issue of a "giant pile of dog poop on our site" suggests inconsistent waste management or adherence to pet rules by other campers, affecting overall site cleanliness.

These varied experiences indicate that while the park offers practical conveniences, there are considerable challenges concerning site conditions and cleanliness that prospective visitors should be aware of.

Based on the publicly available information and typical practices of RV parks, specific, time-sensitive "promotions or special offers" for Atlanta Marietta RV Park are not explicitly advertised through general public data. RV parks commonly offer various rates depending on the length of stay (daily, weekly, monthly) which inherently provide a discount for longer commitments.

Any specific incentives, such as discounts for Good Sam members, military personnel, seniors, or first-time visitors, would typically be managed directly by the park's management and communicated upon inquiry or booking. Given some of the concerns raised in customer reviews, it is especially important for prospective visitors to contact the park directly to inquire about current rates, availability, and any potential offers. This direct communication would also be an opportunity to ask about specific site conditions and services to ensure they meet your expectations before booking. Always confirm all terms and conditions in writing.

It is highly recommended that prospective visitors call the park directly during business hours for the most accurate and up-to-date information. Given the mixed feedback from reviews, a direct conversation with park management can provide clarity on site conditions, specific amenities, and any policies. If possible, an in-person visit to assess the sites and facilities firsthand is also advisable to ensure it meets your expectations for an RV stay. The ability to book online and check in after hours, as noted by a reviewer, offers convenience for travel planning.

For locals in Georgia, particularly those in the Marietta area or passing through the Atlanta metro region, Atlanta Marietta RV Park offers a suitable option primarily for its convenient location and flexibility for short-term stays. Its strategic placement in Marietta provides easy access to urban amenities, including repair services and shopping, which is a significant advantage for RV travelers. The ability to book online and check in after hours offers crucial convenience for those with unpredictable travel schedules or who require an immediate stop. Furthermore, the park's willingness to accommodate situations like leaving a trailer for tire installation demonstrates a practical level of customer support that can be invaluable in unexpected circumstances. The presence of a dog park is also a clear benefit for Georgians traveling with their pets, providing a designated space for exercise.

However, prospective visitors should be fully aware of the significant concerns raised in recent reviews, particularly regarding the condition of sites (broken concrete/asphalt), the cramped nature of the spaces which can hinder slide-out usage and maneuverability, and alarming reports of unsanitary sewer hookups. While the park provides essential services, the quality of these services and the overall site maintenance appear to be inconsistent. Therefore, for Georgians prioritizing extreme convenience for a quick stop or an immediate need for RV parking in the Marietta area, and who are prepared to potentially overlook or manage issues related to site condition and spacing, Atlanta Marietta RV Park could be considered. It is highly advisable to inspect the assigned site upon arrival and have alternative plans if the conditions do not meet your comfort or safety standards.

We had a flat tire on our road trip. We were able to book online and able to check in after hours. They also allowed us to leave our trailer there while we were having a new tire installed.

We had water & power. The dog park was very nice, so why was there a giant pile of dog poop on our site. We chose not to use the sewer hookup due to dried up toilet paper & human feces on the ground. Sites are broken concrete & asphalt in very bad shape. They are crammed in on top of each other. We were unable to back all the way into our site, we would have hit the RV awning behind us.You can barely open your slides. Just look at my attached pictures and think twice.

My husband and I were looking forward to staying at this park but he was hospitalized and then we had to wait for test results and a treatment plan for cancer. I called to cancel and they charged us $100. No exception and no compassion. With KOA we have no cancellations fees. Good Sam is disappointing.

Definitely not a resort! The pics online make it look better than it is. Dog poop everywhere around our site when we arrived and in the dog park. Creepy worker that likes to look in windows. Decided to leave early because of this. Would not refund. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

Welcoming and very accommodating. At this time of year, it might be easier to just drive in and get a spot for a 35 foot motorhome pulling a van behind it. We took her chances and it worked out fine. The price was very reasonable very wood, as if you were in a little remote area all on its own next to a bigger part of the city. They also have a dog park which our dog enjoyed they also gave us each a complimentary soda. Little things mean a lot. They also they have laundry and showers available. Very nice.
