It was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. I always pack a shower tent but it was not needed! Having showers and bathrooms for campers was a great addition. I'm used to a bag shower and going in the woods! Lol. I was concerned with the number of jeeps and side by sides going really fast and driving in the river but that is no fault of your own, but we did want to mention it.

I had a wonderful time camping here on the river! Carol-Anne and Lyn are so welcoming and kind. The property is really beautiful and although the Medina water levels are low, the water is crystal clear and flowing over gorgeous rocks and stones. There are areas with deeper pools of water for a nice dip, as well as areas for just lounging in the sun with the sounds of the running river. Also, Lyn kindly jump-started my car when I needed help. The river tent sites are a great combination of primitive camping with access to amenities. Loved my stay and can’t wait to return! I highly recommend Boulderdash!

I would definitely consider myself an avid outdoorsman/camper, and let me tell you that I am glad that I found this spot. This location has everything you need, restrooms, community sink, and amazing access to the river. The campgrounds are very clean, and the RV sites are perfect. Carol Ann and Lyn put their passion for camping and traveling into their property. And it shows. These people made us feel like we were family, and honestly just want you to have a great experience while you’re at Boulderdash. If I could give this place 10 stars I gladly would. Thank you all very much me and my family. Hope to see you all soon again.

Stayed here 3 nights while enjoying the hill country. We had site one, which is the best, nice view, enjoyed watching the birds in the bird feeder. Short walk to the river. Owners are very accommodating.

Boulderdash was a wonderful little campsite perfect for a quick 2 night trip to get out of San Antonio for the weekend. The owners were extremely friendly and responsive. We loved the view at campsite #1. The complimentary deer corn made for frequent sightings of a local family of whitetail deer! Most impressive were the FANTASTIC bathrooms on site. They honestly were the nicest we have seen at a private campsite. We will absolutely make a return visit!
