Customer Reviews
We loved this park. We brought our dog as it is dog friendly. The trail going around the river was beautiful. It says 'difficult' in some spots, but we didn't think it was too bad. The trail does get narrow occasionally. There's small camping sites and a large picnic area with tables. There is a restroom near the parking lot that's up on the hillside a little bit. The gravel road to get there is long, so you are going the right way, it just takes a bit to get there!
Pretty good small state park. Hiking Club trail is great. Extend it a bit and hike to the overlook. Great view of the valley and would be fabulous in the fall. In the spring and early summer plan on getting your feet wet crossing the bridges. Campsites are nicely spaced. Hand pump to get water, which is fun to kind of go old school. Large picnic area with a swing set. Only pit toilets at this park, but they were clean.
Brought my dog here with my hubby for years. Always nice and peaceful.
This is a beautiful and quiet park. I followed along the side of the river for a few miles while fishing and there are many nice views along the path. I visited in early May.
Not a big park. Satellite of Whitewater. No staff. No office. Claim to fame is Virginia bluebells in the spring and some rare native prairie wildflowers that they won't show you.
