It’s insane that the lot fees have gone up yet again, it’s now $735 a month!!! They’re pricing us out of our homes and quickly. The homes in the neighborhood that are for sale take forever to sell (because of the lot fees) and most have been on the market for months. The neighborhood itself is alright but theft has become an issue because the gates are still broken. I’d love to move out of here but it seems more and more impossible as time goes on.
The owners of Comal Farms, Sun Communities, DO NOT CARE about the people who live there. My mother lived there for years and things were fine until she had to move to be closer to family. If you own a place here, you CAN NOT hire a realtor. You have to use their employee. She moved out, and the house was available since the end of June 2024. Sun Properties knew their employee was missing in action for months and did nothing. We contacted them multiple times and they pretended to care over the phone but then never followed up. Not once. While other places in New Braunfels stayed on the market for short periods of time, ALL the properties at Comal Farms were on the market for basically the rest of the year. They hired a new person in October, and he finally started working and sold her home. Now we hear today that Sun Properties will be getting the money for her property, and they will write her a check when they get around to it, usually SIX WEEKS! The dude is paying CASH for her house, and Sun Properties wants to hold her money for SIX WEEKS after taking almost half a year to sell her property. These people suck! @sunproperties, you people are unethical and terrible people. DO NOT MOVE here if you ever want to move out. I thought I would add that Joyce was lovely, as long as you didn't want to move. She is the one who literally lied about what she was doing and didn't work for nearly 2 months because she knew she was also moving and leaving the company. She didn't care if she hurt my mom financially. Valerie is an employee at Sun Communities. We called multiple times and she always said they would look into it but mysteriously never followed up, and nothing changed.
