This address places it squarely in the heart of Maggie Valley, a popular and picturesque mountain town in Western North Carolina. Its location is a significant advantage, providing campers with easy access to local amenities and regional attractions.
Being "pretty much right in the heart of Maggie Valley," as noted by a reviewer, means that guests can likely enjoy the convenience of being close to the town's shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues without having to drive far. The park's position also offers direct routes to major highways and scenic byways, facilitating travel for RVs. The area around Maggie Valley is well-known for its beautiful mountain views, and the park’s location benefits directly from this natural splendor.
Accessibility for RVs is a key consideration, and while the park offers full hookup sites and is "big rig friendly," some reviews mention that "RV lots are pretty tight not a lot of privacy at all." This suggests that while large vehicles can be accommodated, maneuvering might require a more experienced driver, and site spacing might be closer than in some other parks. However, the park's gravel roads appear to be well-maintained, ensuring relatively smooth access within the property.
From Cross Creek RV Park, visitors have excellent access to a wealth of outdoor activities and cultural sites. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a short drive away, offering endless opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives. Based on the available public information, including snippets from their website regarding rates, Cross Creek RV Park in Maggie Valley does not explicitly list "promotions or special offers" in the traditional sense of discounts or limited-time deals like many commercial businesses. However, their pricing structure inherently offers savings for longer stays, which can be seen as a form of "special offer" for local users planning extended visits.
The park's rate structure indicates a clear tiered pricing model that rewards longer commitments:
- Daily Rates: These are the highest per-night rates.
- Weekly Rates: Significantly reduce the per-night cost compared to daily stays. For example, regular sites are listed at $75.00 daily but $300.00 weekly, a substantial saving.
- Monthly Rates: Offer the most significant savings, making them very attractive for snowbirds or those looking for an extended seasonal escape. Regular sites are $825.00 monthly.
Additionally, the park has different rates for specific site types, such as "Big Rig Sites or Pull Thru" and premium "Creek Side Sites," which often come with slightly higher but still competitive pricing, especially for longer durations. The website mentions "concrete pad" and "concrete patio" for some creek-side sites, indicating an upgraded experience for those willing to pay a premium.
While the provided reviews do not mention any specific promotional campaigns, the park's website has historically indicated that the owner (Jon Clegg) has offered various incentives, such as a "free week anytime thru May" in past years, to attract specific groups or to encourage longer stays. This suggests a willingness to offer value, even if not widely advertised as "promotions" in the typical sense. Interested North Carolina locals should always:
- Visit their Official Website: Check for the most current rates and any potential seasonal or off-season discounts that might be introduced.
- Contact Directly: Call the park at (828) 926-1183 or +1 828-926-1183 to inquire about specific availability, long-term stay options, or any unadvertised offers that might be available for new or returning guests.
The park's focus on quiet and adult-oriented camping, coupled with its reasonable rates for longer stays, inherently provides value for those seeking a peaceful, extended retreat in the mountains.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE do your homework before booking here...what a huge huge mistake it was staying here...pretty simple story. I was approached by the owner John who came screaming down the gravel road while I was changing a tire on my vehicle...he arrived and jumped out of his vehicle and approached as if he was ready to hit me...but needless to say that once I got up to protect myself and my wife who was recording at that point you could see the scare in his eyes and backed down very quickly.. I have filed a lawsuit for the remaining days of our stay and other charges that are coming..and note he did this all in front of a 13 year old boy who has never seen this type of behavior...so please read other post on this business before making a decision to stay.... Pretty much right in the heart of Maggie Valley beautiful view. Great location !extremely quiet park, adult only . well maintained good pavilion for gathering. Washing available. Dog friendly and large dog area to play. No pool . RV lots are pretty tight not alot of privacy at all. Very reasonable rates!
This campground is in nice location and is very shady! However there are very narrow gravel lots for campers, the staff will meet you to tell you exactly how to back into gravel slot. Took us 5 pull ups and backups over grass that was wet from the rainstorm. However had I been allowed to park our camper I could have got it in on first attempt by pulling into gravel space directly in front of our slot. Then we were told to not park on grass, especially when wet! Considering that there is only space for one vehicle parked crossways in front of your camper. When 2 campers are in place with their vehicles parked correctly then this only leaves space for one vehicle to pass through the road for those camping spaces. I can understand if it is raining and the guy that helped us park said it was very important to stay off the grass especially when it rains. But then I had to turn around to pick up another friend who was sick in their camper , 2 campers down, I had to go to Cross road at end of street to turn around, I clipped the corner strip of grass perhaps 2 feet while I turned around. By the time I got back to the camper, there was Karen-unfriendly/angry camp guard who had ran down to inform me that I had drove over the grass and that the owner would kick us out for driving on the grass. Then this morning the grass control staff came down and moved our camping rug over onto gravel and off the grass. The man came over to our friends camper to state 'y'all know why I am here- you can't have your camping rug on the grass because you are killing it'. Nevermind that he was carrying a weed eater as the were murdering (mowing) the grass! Unbelievable!! Never again will we be camping here!!
Stayed at the park 3 years in a row. Never had a problem. RV needed maintenance and we changed out the antifreeze while there careful to catch all the waste and dispose of properly. The owner flipped out and told us to leave by the next morning .The park rules did not state that you could not work on your RV. The park host stopped by prior and said that the owner was notorious for making people leave for no reason. He told us that he hoped we would not have any problems but to be prepared. The owner threatened to call EPA. We contacted EPA and asked them to check the site we were on because we knew we didn’t do anything wrong. I am a retired nurse and my husband a retired general contractor. We always abide by the rules. I feel sorry for the people who visit this park and hope they find better alternatives. We love the area and his foolish behavior will not deter us from visiting the great smoky mountains. We will just be cautious in planning where to stay.
Really nice place. This was our first destination in our new class C. Took us 3 hours roughly from Charlotte. Great site, quiet, friendly people. Also nice views of the mountains in the valley. Will most certainly return.
