Destination Park Inc, situated in Biloxi, MS, is one such community that has provided spaces for mobile homes and campers, catering to individuals looking for an established place to settle in the area.

It is important for prospective residents to gain a comprehensive and factual understanding of any living community. While public reviews can offer varied perspectives, this article aims to present a balanced and informative overview of Destination Park Inc, focusing on its fundamental offerings and location. For those considering long-term mobile home or camper living in Biloxi, understanding the basic structure and accessibility of the park is crucial for making an informed decision about their potential new home.

Introduction / Overview

Destination Park Inc, located in Biloxi, Mississippi, functions as a community that accommodates both mobile homes and recreational vehicles, primarily for long-term residency. These types of parks are often considered by individuals and families who seek more affordable or flexible housing solutions compared to traditional site-built homes or apartment rentals. The park's core offering is the provision of lots where residents can place their own mobile homes or long-term campers.

The park is approximately 4.5 acres in size, suggesting a more compact community. As with many long-standing parks of this nature, individual experiences can vary, and it's common for residents to take an active role in customizing and maintaining their living spaces. Destination Park Inc provides the foundational infrastructure for mobile home and RV living, aiming to be a consistent option for those looking for a long-term base in the Biloxi area.

Location and Accessibility

Destination Park Inc is located at 14318 MS-15, Biloxi, MS 39532, USA. This address places it on Mississippi Highway 15, a state highway that runs through Biloxi and connects to various other parts of the region. Being on a state highway generally indicates good accessibility and ease of travel to and from the park.

For Mississippians, particularly those in the Biloxi and surrounding areas, the park's location on MS-15 offers reasonable convenience. While not directly on the beachfront or in the immediate heart of the casino district, it provides access to essential services and amenities within Biloxi. Residents would typically have a relatively short drive to local grocery stores, retail outlets, healthcare facilities, and other daily necessities. Access to the famous Biloxi beaches, entertainment venues, and other attractions would also be via a manageable drive. This location balances proximity to urban conveniences with a setting that may offer a slightly removed, less congested feel compared to areas directly on the bustling Beach Boulevard.

Services Offered

As a mobile home and RV park primarily focused on long-term residency, Destination Park Inc offers fundamental services necessary for daily living in such a community. The services provided are geared towards supporting the placement and operation of mobile homes and campers on rented lots. Based on the nature of the park and common industry standards, the following services would typically be offered:

  • Mobile Home and Camper Lot Rentals: The primary service is providing individual lots for the long-term placement of manufactured homes and recreational vehicles. Residents rent these spaces, often on a monthly basis.
  • Utility Hookups: Each lot is generally equipped with essential utility connections. This typically includes electrical hookups (which may require specific attention as noted in a review, indicating potential varying conditions), water, and sewer connections. Residents are usually responsible for their own utility usage costs.
  • Site for Camper/Mobile Home: The park provides the physical space and infrastructure for residents to set up their homes, which may involve personal effort to make the space "liveable" as mentioned in one review.
  • Basic Infrastructure Maintenance: The park management is typically responsible for maintaining the general infrastructure of the park, such as internal roads and common areas, though the extent of this upkeep can vary.
  • Management Contact: The park has management (e.g., "Dora the owner" as mentioned in a review) available for addressing resident concerns and managing leases and park rules. The quality of this interaction can vary based on individual experiences.

Prospective residents are strongly encouraged to inquire directly about the specific condition of utility hookups, the extent of maintenance provided, and any other services relevant to their needs, as these can significantly impact the living experience.

Features / Highlights

Based on the provided information and the nature of mobile home and RV parks that cater to long-term residents, the features and highlights of Destination Park Inc would primarily focus on its functional aspects and potential for community, despite some negative feedback. It's important to view these points factually:

  • Long-Term Living Opportunity: The park's primary feature is providing a consistent, long-term residential solution for individuals with mobile homes or campers in the Biloxi area. This fills a crucial housing need for many Mississippians.
  • Affordable Potential: Mobile home park living often represents a more affordable alternative to traditional housing options, making it accessible to a wider range of budgets.
  • Opportunity for Personalization: One review mentions a camper being "given to me as long as I fixed the inside due to it not being liveable," which, while highlighting initial condition challenges, also implies an opportunity for residents to invest in and personalize their living space to their own standards once settled.
  • Established Community: As a park that has been in operation for some time, it has an established base of residents. While the nature of the community is subject to individual experience, the presence of long-term residents can lead to familiar faces and a localized network.
  • Accessible Location on MS-15: Being located on a state highway ensures relatively easy access to and from the park, connecting residents to Biloxi's broader amenities and job centers.
  • Size and Scale: At approximately 4.5 acres, it suggests a more compact, potentially more manageable community size compared to very large resorts, which some residents might prefer for a quieter environment.

It is crucial for any potential resident to thoroughly inspect the specific lot and any existing dwelling, and to speak with current residents where possible, to form their own judgment on the living conditions and community atmosphere.

Promotions or Special Offers

Information regarding specific promotions or special offers at Destination Park Inc is not publicly available. Mobile home and long-term RV parks typically operate on a direct rental model, where the "offer" is the monthly lot rent and the terms of the lease. Unlike transient RV parks that often have seasonal discounts or short-term booking incentives, long-term residential parks focus on stable occupancy.

When considering Destination Park Inc, potential residents should inquire directly about:

  • Monthly Lot Rent: The primary cost of living in the park.
  • Lease Terms: Whether the park offers month-to-month, 6-month, or 12-month leases, and any associated conditions.
  • Included Utilities: What, if any, utilities are included in the lot rent (e.g., water, sewer, trash) versus those that are billed separately (e.g., electricity).
  • Deposit Requirements: Information on security deposits and any other upfront fees.

As no specific promotional details were provided, the best course of action for interested individuals is to contact Destination Park Inc directly to discuss current lot availability, rental rates, and any specific terms applicable to long-term residency. Few good people live here but the living arrangements are very poor. Most campers are dilapidated with no hot water(if any at all).

I feel bad for the few decent people that live in there. Usually if something is stolen, you can find it in this trailer park. So far 2 trailers have burned down in the first month of 2021.
