This is a wonderful campground. Very very clean. The staff are so kind and wonderful. There's fun weekend events. The pool is heated, even at 67 degrees outside the pool was very comfortable in the sun. Their camp store had so many amenities, including a very very helpful kind staff. Highly recommend. To add, we were in a travel trailer. A very spacious lot we received as well.
May 26, 2025 · JessicaWe are regular campers. First time to KOA. We were blown away by the hospitality. When we arrived I asked a clarifying question on what lane to take to the campsite and immediately a worker offered to escort us. Our friends arrived for their site and realized they signed up for the wrong WATT for their electrical. KOA offered to move them to another site ensuring they were all set after they pulled up to the new site. When they heard we were together they moved us too which they did not have to do on a busy holiday weekend. As I stated we are regular campers at all different kinds of campgrounds. This one rates up there for best service. Thank you KOA. We will be coming back.
May 26, 2025 · Sara SchnellWe stayed at this KOA for a week at the end of May 2025. We came into Brussels,WI on Hwy 57. From this direction, I did not see a single sign for the KOA. Luckily, my GPS got us there. Initial entry onto the KOA grounds is a little confusing as the familiar KOA a-frame is pointed away from you. There is no check-in parking area so we ended up parking in the driveway for check-in. Check-in was typical KOA. Smooth and friendly. The lady I checked in with is notable as she was genuinely pleasant and welcoming. We were led to our site by an employee in a golf cart and basically dumped at our site. We have stayed at KOAs where this individual stays and either talks to you about the site or takes the time to insure you are happy with your site. That didn’t happen here. Not a necessity but a nice touch. This site cost us approximately $620 for 7 nights. Another nice touch we have received from other KOAs is where they deliver firewood to your site or if you order food from the snack bar (if equipped), they deliver your food to your campsite. Not at this KOA. We reserved a premium site and were not disappointed. The site was fairly level front to rear and was level side to side. Nicely graveled. The site amenities included a stamped concrete patio, table and four chairs, a slider type loveseat, a Weber grill and fire pit. The site was very long and accommodated our 52’ of tow vehicle and camper perfectly. Water, electric, and two sewer connections were well placed and clean. Power at the power connection was good and held at 120 volts during the entire week including the weekend when this campground was full. Which brings to my first complaint. This campground allows golf carts, four wheelers, and other OHV’s to operate on its property. At times we witnessed these vehicles operated by children with no adult supervision. Nothing good can come from that. The weekend was extremely busy and sort of loud and would continue into evening hours. The grass around our site was not mowed during our stay. I’d venture a guess it was because we were still on the site. Still, after 7 days it was unkempt. We did not use the laundry or shower house so I cannot report on them. We also did not use the pools. The campground store was rather lacking for a campground in the middle of nowhere. There is a grocery store in Brussels and the closest Walmart is in Sturgeon Bay. Location. This campground is approximately 60 miles NE of Green Bay and basically at the bottom of the Door County peninsula. So all the tourist sites are north of it. We found several campgrounds that are more centrally located. Next visit to Door County we will likely stay at a different campground. Peninsula State Park looks very nice! We drove through parts of the campground but did not stop. The Wi-Fi. The KOA advertised Wi-Fi. We at no time had Wi-Fi. We went to the office and asked about the Wi-Fi. The employee said we should as they just had it fixed and at least it’s free. That was the end of the conversation. We never had Wi-Fi. The best we could get was one bar and 5G and it was very, very slow 5G at that. With so much travel information on-line now, this made it nearly impossible to plan. I know that sounds like a personal problem but we’re planners and not able to do so. Overall, we probably will not stay at this KOA in the future. If anyone has stayed at the Weatherford, TX KOA, this is a dressier version with the seasonal residents. You decide.
Jun 01, 2025 · Dave HessEverything went ok on our 3 days in our Cabin. The campground was somewhat nice. I been to a few KOAS and this one was not the best. FYI you really should look into getting new mattress I don’t think people should be sinking in the middle of the bed.
Jun 01, 2025 · Kevin DansavageThe first employee we spoke with said she knew nothing about the area when we asked for suggestions of things to do. And she never took off her headphones. Employees were not very friendly, overall, which has never been our experience at a KOA. The grounds were awful- not well kept. Our bed sunk to the ground. One employee spoke highly of the pizza they would be serving. It ended up being a frozen pizza that cost us $15. We left early and stayed at a hotel. We didn’t even stay one night. We did not receive a full refund because the employee was not knowledgeable in how to do so (per her admission).
