Eagle's Landing Campground About

For Wisconsinites seeking a convenient and amenity-rich camping experience near the Yellow River, Eagle's Landing Campground in Danbury, WI, presents a compelling option. This popular campground offers a blend of riverside serenity and essential facilities, making it suitable for both tent and trailer campers. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat by the water or a convenient base for exploring the local area, Eagle's Landing aims to provide a comfortable stay in the heart of Burnett County's natural beauty.

Many Wisconsin locals appreciate campgrounds that offer a good balance of natural immersion and necessary comforts. Eagle's Landing Campground fits this description, providing "beautiful views by the river" where campers can enjoy the scenic Yellow River. The availability of "laundry, shower facility," and "on site firewood" addresses key practical needs for campers, making longer stays more manageable and enjoyable. This thoughtful provision of amenities ensures that visitors can focus on relaxing and exploring rather than worrying about basic necessities.

However, it's also important for prospective campers to be aware of certain aspects of the campground's environment, as highlighted in reviews. Its location "by Hwy 35" can lead to "traffic noisy in tent sites," which might impact those seeking absolute tranquility. Additionally, some guests have expressed a wish for "quiet hours" to be more strictly enforced, noting "loud partying till 1:30 am." This suggests that while the campground offers a beautiful natural setting, the level of quiet and enforcement of rules might vary, and it could be a lively environment, especially during peak seasons.

Despite these points, Eagle's Landing Campground remains a solid choice, described as a "good alternative to taking a chance in 1st come, 1st serve state park, state forest sites." This implies a reliable reservation system and more predictable availability, which is a significant advantage for those who prefer to plan their trips in advance. The blend of riverside views, essential amenities, and predictable booking makes Eagle's Landing a practical and appealing option for many Wisconsin campers looking to enjoy the outdoors with a degree of comfort and convenience.

Location and Accessibility

Eagle's Landing Campground is conveniently located at 30158 WI-35, Danbury, WI 54830, USA. This address places it directly on Wisconsin State Highway 35, a major north-south route through the western part of the state. This roadside location makes the campground exceptionally accessible for travelers, ensuring easy navigation and quick entry for both cars and larger RVs or trailers.

Danbury itself is situated in Burnett County, a region of northwestern Wisconsin renowned for its abundant lakes, rivers, and extensive public lands. The campground's position on the Yellow River further enhances its appeal, providing direct water access for various recreational activities. Being in Danbury means campers are within reach of local amenities and attractions, including the St. Croix Casino in Danbury, which is often mentioned as a nearby point of interest.

While the proximity to Highway 35 offers excellent accessibility, it also means that tent sites, in particular, may experience "traffic noisy," as noted in reviews. For those seeking absolute quiet, this is a factor to consider. However, for campers who prioritize ease of access and proximity to main routes for exploring the wider Burnett County area, Eagle's Landing's location is a significant advantage. The campground is also approximately 1.5 hours from the Twin Cities, making it a popular weekend getaway for residents of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.

Tent and trailer camp site with laundry, shower facility. On site firewood. On Yellow River. Also by Hwy 35, so it's traffic noisy in tent sites. Good alternative to taking a chance in 1st come, 1st serve state park, state forest sites.

Nice campsite. The showers were kinda gross. They need a good cleaning. Turned the water on and hair started floating. That's really gross. Showers and restrooms require daily attention. The toilets needed to be flushed too. That's gross man. But for the price I cam handle a river sponge bath. And there is a gas station close
