Excellent private campground right outside the SW metro, near Prior Lake and Savage, MN. It's right on Fish Lake in Scott county. We parked our 45 foot 5th wheel for two weeks. They have full hookups on gravel spots. The campground has quiet time from 10 pm to 7 am everyday, which is really nice.
May 08, 2025 · Jessi StewartIf you LOVE the NON-STOP HIGH ANXIETY of trying to camp next to a gun range that never closes, then this is the place for you! Had to stay a month here and the assault of gun fire never ceases! Like living in a constant mass-shooting incident or battlefield. Wouldn't dare try to walk the trails or do any outdoor activities due to the fear of a stray bullet! It sounded like they are coming from all directions from dawn to way beyond sunset! NOT relaxing! The bathroom facilities are riddled with black mold and the water... I'd recommend staying away from it! Pretty place, wish I could have actually enjoyed our stay rather than being bombarded with constant anxiety due to the war zone atmosphere!
Nov 12, 2024 · Lucy VincentThe entire staff at this campground is super amazing. Everyone was very nice, respectful, and informative. We stayed Sunday night through the week and checked out Friday morning. Quiet hours start at 10 and was respected by everyone. The long term residents were so friendly and welcoming. The week days are slower, so there was plenty of beach space. For the boat rentals, they charge you after coming back in, which is a great system. The only thing I would have to say is be prepared for the bugs!! We were by the trees, and even with mass amounts of bug spray, I still got eaten alive. This camp ground allows fogging so I would be sure to bring a fog bomb before setting up. My kids enjoyed the snacks purchased in the main office as well, as they have plenty of options for under $1.
Jul 12, 2024 · Samantha HEasily the worst campground I have stayed at. First thoughts were very overpriced for what you get. At first glace it was not so bad, but they nickle and dime you. Charged 10 per person over 2 people staying in same camper and 2 dollars per dog per night. Bathrooms were in need of TLC. Toilet seat had duct tape repair. Curtains instead of doors for your privacy. Water was tinny smelling...didnt dare to drink it. We were put on a hill which was ok cause it rained but the site was very unlevel and muddy so it was dangerous to walk around. There was a gun range close that made it miserable for our dogs who fear the sound of loud bangs. Nothing was mentioned in advance. Hard to book because it was very "paper only" and no website, email or phone number for off season.
Jul 20, 2024 · DavidWe stayed a Saturday and Sunday nights. Saturday evening was noisy and lots of campfires. The smoke came in our RV so much , making it hard to breathe. The next a.m., when walking my dog, I saw a big burn pit smoldering in the utility area, where they'd been burning branches and tree stumps the day before. I'm sure that caused the heavy smoke. Quiet time on weekends begins at 11 p.m. There was noise around us till at least 1 a.m. Most of the RVs in the park are monthly residents, so on Monday a.m. at 4:30 the first of the trucks started their departure for work. I lost count at 13, leaving in 10-15 minute intervals. Between loud mufflers and crunching tires on gravel roads in the park, it made sleep difficult. We stayed here because it was the only park I could find on short notice with an opening. We probably won't be staying again. Also, no credit cards. Cash or check only. After making the reservation I had to mail a check. I called ahead to check on the length of electric cord and hose we would need. The woman I talked with couldn't answer with certainty. She suggested that we have 100 feet of both just in case. We had never needed those lengths before, ever. So we bought extra of both. As it turned out, we didn't need either. But apparently, some spots need up to 100 ft.
