Great site for camping. As long as you have the appropriate equipment during certain seasons. Definitely bring bug spray and anything anti-mosquito. They fly rampant. Lot of stuff to do nearby and on the property. Look out for hungry raccoons. They will riffle through your backpack if you leave food in there.

The campground itself is done great. Our spot was so level that we didn't have to lay a single block for leveling. All sites are full hookups. Large patio at each site with large sturdy picnic table, fire ring, and post for trash or lantern. The camping sites that are inside the top loop and the outside sites of the back loop have much more space. The Camground has wonderful areas for bike riding for young and old. Price is great for the layout and the full hookups. There is water access for boating or kayaking. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was the area we were in, the inside of the back loop, was closer to each other than I preferred. I felt more like I was in a suburban neighborhood. I do realize, though, that these are larger sites than many, I just like more seclusion. We will be going back and will try to book a little earlier to get one of the bigger and scenic sites. We will definitely be taking our bicycles as well.

Amazing campground! Clean, spacious in some areas. Great history. We were there for a CTC Rendezvous and really enjoyed our 5 day stay. Cell service for us Verizon customers was nada. Even in the nearby town of Greenville.

This is a very nice campground on Old Greenville site! Paved roads, beautiful paved walking/biking trails galore! Over 100 campsites, full hookups, showers, restrooms for campers. Some pull-throughs. Reservations needed, fills up on weekends. Playgrounds. Some trails go around designated signs of where historic Old Greenville bldgs once stood. That was interesting. Only saw once snake, but pretty butterflies! Fishing at Lake. Picnic tables. One trail leads to a 2 mile hike to New Greenville! Shelter houses, lots of green space large shady trees. Mostly quiet except for the 4 legged barkers. Be sure to check under the bridge for all the birds nests!

Great campground! Multiple playgrounds, bathrooms, and fantastic level sites! One of our favorite places so far. It's in a flood zone but not a big deal as long as you pay attention to the weather and I'm sure they would inform you if flooding was imminent. If you are looking for a great family campground look no further!
