Lakeside North (MHP) offers a specific set of benefits that can make it a suitable living option for many Minnesotans, particularly those navigating the Twin Cities housing market. Its strategic location in New Brighton is a significant draw, providing residents with the peacefulness of a suburban environment while maintaining excellent and convenient access to the economic, cultural, and recreational opportunities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. This balance is often highly sought after by local residents, offering a desirable lifestyle without the immediate hustle and higher costs of inner-city living.
For locals, the primary appeal often lies in the financial accessibility that manufactured home living provides. It presents a more attainable path to homeownership compared to the often-prohibitive costs of traditional single-family homes in the metro area. This can be particularly beneficial for first-time homebuyers, individuals or families on a budget, or those looking to downsize. The opportunity to own a home and build equity, even while leasing the land, is a significant advantage.
However, it is crucial for prospective residents to consider the direct feedback from current residents, which points to significant concerns regarding management's responsiveness, particularly in addressing maintenance issues and communication. While the idea of owning your home and being part of a community is appealing, the operational aspects of a mobile home park are managed by the park itself, and potential residents should thoroughly investigate these aspects. Despite these concerns, the inherent advantages of location, affordability, and the potential for a quiet neighborhood within the Mounds View School District remain.
Ultimately, for Minnesotans who prioritize a budget-friendly route to homeownership in a well-connected suburban location and are prepared to engage proactively with management, Lakeside North (MHP) offers a practical residential option in the Twin Cities northern suburbs. It allows individuals and families to establish roots in a desirable area that might otherwise be financially out of reach.
Customer Reviews
This place is filled with nothing but bullies that will play games then if you do it back e1 loses their stuff and you get in trouble. Management will not intervene. They tried to evict me for my service animal and now towed my truck from a spot they approved me to park in under accommodation yet they don't do anything against they people trying to push me out of the spot that im approved to park in.
I have been trying my hardest to give this new management the benefit of the doubt but they keep doing, or not doing things that make me wonder how they can even call themselves "Management". More like Slum Lords!! With the heavy snow over night, a very large section of the tree in my yard broke off and is currently blocking my exit from my house to the cars and street. The management was notified on their so called emergency maintenance number at 2am this morning. I had to leave a voice mail message. I expected at least a call back by 8Am but got nothing. I called again at 8:45 am. It went to voicemail 4 more times but I kept calling until someone finally answered. Sorry, I disturbed their sleep. The guy who answered said he would be over. Half hour later I get a text message saying James was having trouble getting his car out. Were we able to get out the back emergency exit. Not an option because, even though I requested steps for that exit, they never provided me with any. Same thing with the tree, they had a company trimming trees last summer but just skipped my tree. Even though we had asked for all the dead branches to be trimmed, they still never did it. Well guess what, any damage caused to mine and my neighbors property is on Lakeside or Riverstone or both. It is now 11am and going back and forth in text messages with Krista has o ly resulted in her keeping on saying "they will address the branches on Monday" How the heck are we supposed to get to our cars to go anywhere until then. These tree trunks in my yard are too big for a human to move or navigate around. I cannot believe Krista would be so uncaring and calling what is shown in attached pictures, a few branches.
I used to love this park. Been here in and out (mostly in) for 30+ years. They have become hypocritical liars. They enforce rules harder on the people, like us who pay our rent, on time, every single month for 30 year yet these otherwise the park go along workout park stickers or dogs off leash. Management has been aware as we advised them and they due nothing. According to them you would be towed if you don't have a park sticker or guest sign on each car......nothing. YET we were towed when they did street sweeping and we had told the manager we'd be right out to move our cars when we brought the dogs in, well I went out literally 3 minutes after that and our cars were towed! In 3 minutes! And she knew we were moving them. I saw other cars in the park and none were towed. Why harass your good tenants? Well I'm ready to talk......they have tried my patience with all the harassment. She even refused to let us win for best decorated house for Halloween!!! Every person that came or passed by said we were the best by far! It's ridiculous how is long timers have to feel like they're trying to push us out cuz they'd get more for rent from the New people. We can't afford to move our home so we're stuck. And they will not push us out. These issues have been brought to the attention of the city and attorney general. But yet again, they lie their ways out of it. If you look at other reviews you will see the hypocritical, bias people they are. Real sad when you feel like your being watched constantly while others have messy unkept yards, no stickers on their cars walking their pets unleashed. We have dogs and they are always leashed and we pick up after their poo poo just like your supposed to anywhere. Why do these others, half illegal, get away with everything in this park? They also took down my greivences on their fb page. Absolutely no bad words Or anything like that and they lie and said it automatically gets taken down. But then they blocked me also! Hahaha.....so instead of trying to talk to the tennants with complaints tgey just sweep it under the rug. Angry HOMEOWNER in a communist run park by hypocritical weirdos.
Apparently, none of these places associated with mhp know how to manage time or their websites. Clearly says open until 5pm. I see a car but not a soul in site. No information, don't answer phone calls, just nothing but a big waste of time. If they can't even be presentable to new renters/buyers imagine how inefficient they are at taking care of the people they already have there. Everyone associated with MHP should be embarrassed.
They enforce the rules for some, and let others slide. The only 2 cars per house is one of these. The people that live next to me, have 5 cars parked outside every night. And some nights 6 or 7. With at least 1 adult per, and 1 kid that lives there that I know of. That 6 people in a 3 bedroom. Both are against the rules. I hate coming home from work at night and seeing all the cars parked out side my house. That's the reason I chose to live on the very end, so I didn't have to see all that. And they do nothing about it. Like I said, A different set of rules for some. And yes, the snow plowing last year sucked!! (All 5 of them cars are from the people next door)
