This place is a hidden gem. We were planning to stay just one night on the way through, as we’re roadtripping across the country.. but then we learned about all the wildlife this little park has to offer. We had to stay two more nights to take it all in. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves but we saw at least 15 species of birds, including bald eagles, great blue herons, multiple species of egrets, blue birds, and one of my favorites.. the scissor tailed flycatcher. In addition to beautiful views of lake Livingston, plentiful wildlife, and full hook-ups.. I’d also like to mention that the star watching is superb. Lastly, the owners were super nice and made us feel very welcome. Happy to have stumbled upon this park as our first stop from Austin to Maine.
