Very quiet county park with a nice little community surrounding it. Gravel spots are not level but we knew that since I had read several reviews that all said the same thing so we adjusted accordingly. Park ranger drive through frequently. We didn’t use any of the bathroom facilities so I can’t speak on them. Nice playground in the middle of the park for the kids. This park has dry tent camping, electric only, electric & water and full hook up sites. Convenient to the Royals & Chiefs stadiums.

My church group came here to camp for one night. TL:DR large groups and campers using tents or hammocks are UNWELCOME! Campground management made regular patrols to check on us. They made a special stop to give us a front and back printed computer page of ridiculous, unessesary rules that made me feel like we were in a military boot camp. They locked the gates to the property at 10 p.m., so if you have an emergency during the night, you are stuck until 6 am. I am an ex-security guard, so I understand why rules are important and the necessity of rule enforcement. The level of pettiness and absurdity of the aforementioned rules was absolutely top tier. This place made me feel like we were criminals under constant watch instead of church group trying to unwind and enjoy nature. I had planned on spending the night with the rest of my group, but the head count and number of car restrictions made me feel unwelcome. I went home about 6 pm. The people occupying a neighboring camp site had very loud music and very loud inappropriate conversations of a sexual nature. Not once did I see management come talk to them, but management took special pains to keep tabs on us....a church group. I don't know the price tag associated with the camp sites, but based on my experience, we overpaid.

The camp host are great ! Very friendly and helpful. Pads are concrete with a few gravel ones, so easy to get level. Campground is gated and has nice shower house and large dumpsters each site has grill, Fire pit and nice picnic table. Play ground for the kids, volleyball net, and tether ball. Golf course right next door. Pets (up to 3 dogs) are welcome. Close to grocery and stores. The only cons it's a 10 min drive to the beach, sites are not on the water and it Costa $8. Per person to use the beach. Also close to B&B theater if you have a rainy day. Back for our 4th stay. Lots of wild life to see as well

would have gotten five stars if sites were level. Worst campground I've ever been in for slanted sites. Could not level motorhome using all my blocks. Will not come back because of that. Otherwise the park is lovely. Look how far out of level my site was in this pic. I lowered rv and got tires on ground but whoever designed this place had no common sense for rv use.

Nice campgrounds. Decent space between spots. Really nice manager. But... We were out cooking breakfast on the fire pit. A city worker drove by on a mower, blew debris all over our food. My dog (small) freaked out and got out of his leash and chased the mower. So the guy called park rangers. By the time they showed up dog was restrained. Really? It is a really nice place to escape from the city.
