Introduction / Overview
For Pennsylvanians who embrace the RV lifestyle, finding a high-quality, centrally located, and reliably clean place to set up camp is essential for a memorable getaway. Pine Hill RV Park, nestled in the scenic countryside near Kutztown, PA, stands out as a premier destination for modern campers. It has built a solid reputation among the local RV community for its commitment to cleanliness, well-maintained grounds, and friendly service. This is not a rustic, heavily wooded campsite; rather, it is an open, beautifully landscaped park designed with the comfort and convenience of today’s Recreational Vehicles in mind. With its expansive, manicured lawns and clear views of the rolling Pennsylvania Dutch Country, the park offers a peaceful atmosphere that immediately promotes relaxation.
A key characteristic of Pine Hill RV Park is its strong focus on being "Big Rig Friendly." The owners understand the significant investment RVers make in their equipment and have specifically engineered the park to accommodate the largest motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels currently on the road. This focus translates into numerous features, including a high percentage of pull-thru sites and full hookups with the necessary high-amp electrical service. Whether planning a weekend retreat to escape the city hustle or looking for a home base to explore the region’s rich history and numerous attractions, Pine Hill RV Park offers a practical, clean, and highly accessible solution that resonates deeply with the values of local Pennsylvania travelers. The park typically operates on a seasonal basis, generally opening in early April and closing around early November, with some limited off-season monthly stays available, making it the perfect spring, summer, and fall destination.
Location and Accessibility
Pine Hill RV Park’s location at 268 Old U.S. 22, Kutztown, PA 19530, positions it perfectly for local and regional Pennsylvania residents. Kutztown is situated in Berks County, an area known for its rich Pennsylvania German heritage and its designation as part of the celebrated Pennsylvania Dutch Country. The park’s address along Old U.S. Route 22—combined with its proximity to major corridors like Interstate 78 (I-78) and U.S. Route 222—ensures that accessibility is one of its strongest features. For residents of the Philadelphia, Harrisburg, or Lehigh Valley regions, the drive is remarkably straightforward, often involving minimal traffic compared to accessing destinations in the more remote parts of the state. This ease of access makes it an ideal spot for those quick weekend getaways that Pennsylvanians often value.
The location offers a peaceful countryside setting while remaining incredibly convenient to urban amenities and major attractions. While one reviewer noted the proximity to a nearby highway, which offers a familiar "white noise" for sleeping, the park's setting on an older route ensures direct, easy entry and exit, even for the largest rigs. Within a short drive, campers can reach the historical and cultural highlights of the region. The proximity to the Lehigh Valley area means access to large-scale entertainment like Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom. To the south, the park is a gateway to the broader Pennsylvania Dutch Country, providing easy access to places like the annual Kutztown Folk Festival, the popular Cabela's retail store, and even manageable drives to destinations such as HersheyPark and Gettysburg, which are often targets for longer RV trips from the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas. This blend of easy highway access and quick reach to diverse regional attractions cements Pine Hill RV Park’s status as a strategically placed and highly suitable base camp for the quintessential Pennsylvania vacation. Its position allows for quick runs into the Borough of Kutztown for dining or supplies, while the immediate surroundings maintain a quiet, rural character.

The park’s location in Kutztown grounds the experience in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, giving locals effortless access to the culture, history, and agricultural beauty that defines our state. More than just a practical place to hook up a large rig, Pine Hill is a serene retreat that provides those much-needed spectacular views and quiet evenings away from urban noise. The ability to quickly visit local gems—like walking to a nearby winery or taking a short drive to the historical Crystal Cave—makes it a truly local-centric destination. In short, Pine Hill RV Park serves as a pristine, reliable, and perfectly positioned home base for Pennsylvanians looking to explore the best of their own backyard, offering a clean, quiet, and friendly experience that facilitates genuine relaxation and regional exploration.

Wow. What a beautiful and extremely clean RV park. The laundry room is awesome. The dryers don’t work too well so make sure you add another quarter for that 50 minutes. Very pretty views. At first we didn’t even notice that the highway is close. I need a little white noise to sleep so I always enjoy staying by highways lol. A cute little mini-golf course on site. Nice landscape and decently sized sites. Water, electric, and sewer all worked well. No issues. Quiet. Nice sunsets. Easy to get to from the highway.

Aug 23, 2025 · Diana MariePine Hill RV Park is a gem in Kutztown, right off I-78 and up on a hill with a beautiful setting. The sites are large, not cramped at all, and Starlink-friendly for those who need good internet. The main drive is paved, with gravel sites that are easy to pull into. Amenities are great—bathrooms, showers, and a laundry room are all clean and convenient. The office is one of the most unique I’ve seen, packed with supplies, RV décor, and even ice cream. There’s also a large grassy area perfect for walking dogs or playing sports, plus an adorable playground for kids. They offer daily, weekly, and monthly rates, making it flexible for any type of stay. Overall, a wonderful park with plenty of space, charm, and convenience. Highly recommend!
Aug 30, 2025 · Melissa JackRV Park. I haven't seen cabins. Very green and lush. Well cared for landscape. I'd stay here again. Nice bath house. 5G Verizon is faster than their wifi.
Jun 21, 2025 · rick mayberryWhile Pine Hills RV Park is undeniably well-maintained with clean restrooms, a convenient laundry facility, and nicely kept grounds, our overall experience left much to be desired—especially for the $75 nightly rate. We were shocked to be woken up at 8 a.m. by loud lawnmowers, which disrupted what should have been a peaceful morning. Even more frustrating was when one of the mowers came right in front of our campsite, showing no consideration for us or our pets. The mower even came dangerously close to hitting one of our dogs, which is completely unacceptable. We attempted to contact the owner to address the situation and express our concern, but we never received a response—not even a courtesy call or an apology. For the price point, I expected more professionalism and guest consideration. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and the early morning disturbance significantly impacted what could have been an enjoyable stay.
