Ridgecrest About
For many of us in Texas, finding an affordable and stable place to call home in a major metropolitan area like Dallas can be a significant challenge. Mobile home parks often present a viable and community-oriented housing solution, offering a unique lifestyle that blends affordability with a sense of neighborhood. Ridgecrest Mobile Home Park, located in Dallas, is one such community that has served residents for years, providing spaces for mobile homes in a city known for its dynamic growth.
We understand that choosing a place to live involves many factors, from location and amenities to community management and overall living experience. As you explore housing options in the Dallas area, it's important to gather as much information as possible to make an informed decision. This overview aims to provide factual details about Ridgecrest Mobile Home Park, drawing from publicly available information and common aspects of mobile home community living in Texas, to help you understand if it might be the right fit for your needs.
Ridgecrest Mobile Home Park is situated at 733 Cliffview Dr, Dallas, TX 75217, USA. This address places it within the sprawling and diverse urban landscape of Dallas, Texas. Being in Dallas means residents have access to a vast array of amenities, including employment opportunities, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and cultural attractions. The 75217 zip code area is typically in the eastern part of Dallas, offering connectivity to various parts of the city.
Accessibility to and from Ridgecrest Mobile Home Park would generally involve city streets, with connections to major thoroughfares and highways within the Dallas area. Residents would likely find access to public transportation options (such as DART bus routes) within a reasonable distance, facilitating commutes for those without personal vehicles. The proximity to essential services like grocery stores, schools, and local businesses would be a key consideration for daily living. The park's location in Dallas ensures that residents are never far from the vibrant life and opportunities that the DFW Metroplex has to offer, while potentially providing a more self-contained community feel than typical urban apartments.
Mobile home parks typically offer a range of essential services and utilities to their residents. While specific details for Ridgecrest Mobile Home Park can vary and are often subject to direct communication with management, common services in such communities include:
-
Lot Rentals: The primary service provided is the rental of individual lots or spaces where residents can place their mobile homes. This typically includes connections for utilities.
-
Utility Access: Residents can expect access to fundamental utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity. Based on reviews, these are billed to residents ("bill for rent and water etc."), implying individual metering or allocated usage.
-
Trash Collection: Mobile home parks usually facilitate trash disposal for residents, often through shared dumpsters. The efficiency and cleanliness of these facilities can vary, and it's an aspect current residents may have strong opinions about.
-
On-Site Management: Historically, mobile home parks employ on-site managers to handle resident inquiries, enforce rules, and oversee park operations. However, recent reviews suggest that the presence and responsiveness of management at Ridgecrest might have been inconsistent ("haven’t had a manager for several weeks no one answers the phone").
-
Maintenance of Common Areas: Management is typically responsible for the upkeep of common areas within the park, such as roads, shared green spaces, and community facilities. The quality of this maintenance can impact residents' daily experiences.
-
Security Measures: Some mobile home parks offer security features to enhance resident safety. Past reviews indicate that security was a service that residents felt was not consistently provided despite being charged for it ("getting charge security but we haven’t had any since shes been manager!").
-
Parking: Residents would typically have designated parking for their vehicles within or near their lots. Issues related to parking stickers or enforcement might arise if management is not consistently available.
The features and highlights of a mobile home park often revolve around the community environment it fosters and the practical aspects of living there. For Ridgecrest Mobile Home Park, based on resident feedback, key aspects include:
-
Established Community: As a park where residents have lived for several years (e.g., "7 years"), Ridgecrest has an established community, which can offer a sense of stability and neighborly connections.
-
Affordability (Historically/Relatively): Mobile home living is often chosen for its relative affordability compared to traditional housing in urban areas. While rent increases are a common concern for residents ("raised the rent"), the baseline cost might still be competitive for the Dallas market.
-
Rules and Enforcement: Like any planned community, Ridgecrest has rules for residents (e.g., regarding "trash or 'debris'"). The enforcement of these rules, and the communication surrounding them, is a significant feature impacting resident satisfaction.
-
Direct Billing for Utilities: The practice of sending bills for rent and water separately means residents are directly accountable for their usage, promoting awareness of utility costs.
-
Potential for Stability: For those seeking a long-term living arrangement that isn't a rental apartment, owning a mobile home and renting a lot can offer a greater sense of permanence and personalization.
It is important for prospective residents to conduct their own due diligence, as recent reviews highlight significant concerns regarding management responsiveness, consistency of services (like security and trash removal), and perceived value for increased rent and fees. These aspects are critical for a positive living experience in any mobile home community.
Mobile home parks typically do not offer short-term promotional discounts in the same way retail businesses or RV parks might. Instead, their "promotions" are often tied to the long-term value proposition of living in the community. This can include:
-
Competitive Lot Rent: The primary "offer" is the monthly lot rental fee, which aims to be competitive within the local housing market for manufactured home communities. While reviews indicate rent increases, the initial or current pricing might still be attractive for many.
-
Value of Included Utilities: If any utilities (like water or trash) are included in the base lot rent, this can be seen as a value-added service. However, for Ridgecrest, it appears utilities are billed separately.
-
Long-Term Lease Options: While not a "promotion," signing a longer-term lease agreement (e.g., annual lease vs. month-to-month) might sometimes offer a slight reduction in monthly rates or more stable pricing.
For the most accurate and current information regarding lot rental rates, any fees, and the terms of residency at Ridgecrest Mobile Home Park, interested parties should contact the park management directly. This is crucial for understanding the financial commitments and any specific policies.
If you are considering Ridgecrest Mobile Home Park for your housing needs in Dallas, here’s how you can attempt to get in touch:

Given recent customer feedback regarding phone responsiveness, it is advisable to be persistent or consider visiting the park during stated office hours if possible, to speak with management directly about lot availability, current rates, and community rules.
For us Texans, particularly those navigating the dynamic and often challenging Dallas housing market, Ridgecrest Mobile Home Park presents a housing option that merits careful consideration. Located directly within Dallas, it offers the undeniable advantage of urban accessibility – proximity to job centers, schools, and essential services that a major metropolitan area provides. This can be a significant draw for individuals and families seeking more affordable living close to city amenities.
Historically, mobile home parks like Ridgecrest have provided a community-oriented environment, a place where residents can establish long-term roots and a sense of belonging. However, it is crucial for prospective residents to acknowledge and directly investigate the concerns raised by current and past residents regarding management responsiveness, consistency of services like trash removal and security, and the justification for fees and rent increases. While the concept of a long-term, potentially more affordable home in Dallas is appealing, an open and direct conversation with the current management about these points is essential. For those who prioritize an established community setting and direct access to Dallas city life, and are prepared to engage directly with current management practices, Ridgecrest could still be a viable option to explore as a place to call home in the heart of Texas.
Customer Reviews
Manager is “enforcing” rules she gave multiple people violations for having trash or “debris” but this is what our dumpsters look like and this is “after” it was cleaned . We are getting charge security but we haven’t had any since shes been manager! When we had the old manager she would enforce as well but we would get warnings before just getting fined.
I’ve been living here for 7 years and i use to rate this place a 5star! Now with new owners that have been here 2021-2022not even a full year. It has gotten so bad! They raised the rent and we all knew with time that is common sense to happen but with higher rent you would think better things! WRONG! We have no security anymore haven’t had a manager for several weeks no one answers the phone. Cars are getting towed because we can not get parking sticker. Again because we have no manager ! But they don’t forget to send bill for rent and water etc. changing us all these fees they aren’t providing just ridiculous!
There is never any Management or Maintenance on site, its impossible to get a hold of someone if there is an emergency, security is hardly there and we are paying for that and the trash area is disgusting!!!!
I tried to recover my aunts personal things she left me in will...Butte trailer park manager ripped me off of several 1000 dollars and never would respond to my text and calls. Filing charges on them.
Volunteered to check the Outdoors Warning System and report whether the test was heard, etc.
