For New York residents who cherish the RV lifestyle or are simply seeking a safe, relaxing, and well-appointed base for exploring the rich cultural and natural landscape of Upstate New York, the Saratoga RV Park in Gansevoort stands out as a premier destination. Located conveniently close to the famous attractions of Saratoga Springs and the stunning Adirondack foothills, this RV resort delivers a blend of tranquility and accessibility that is hard to match. It is more than just a place to park your rig; it is a community-focused park where the owners are genuinely invested in making guests happy, as evidenced by the consistent praise for the friendly, hands-on management.
The core appeal of Saratoga RV Park is its commitment to providing a spacious and secure environment. Many long-term and short-term visitors laud the sheer size of the available sites, noting that there is ample room for slide-outs and personal outdoor setups, even enough space for activities like setting up a badminton net right outside the RV door. This generous site planning is a significant draw, ensuring that campers enjoy privacy and a comfortable distance from neighbors—a luxury for any New York traveler accustomed to tighter quarters. While some areas of the park are newly expanded and may lack the mature shade of older sections—affectionately nicknamed "The Desert" by one patron—the park is continually undergoing upgrades, a clear sign of the management’s dedication to improving the overall experience.

Even for those coming from farther south in the metropolitan area, the park represents a straightforward journey up one of the state's main arteries, placing a world-class destination within easy reach for a weekend getaway or an extended stay.
Crucially, the RV park is just minutes away from major area attractions. The historic Saratoga Race Course, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), and the vibrant downtown Saratoga Springs—known for its shopping, dining, and nightlife—are all a short, convenient drive away. Additionally, outdoor enthusiasts can quickly access Moreau Lake State Park and the myriad hiking, boating, and sightseeing opportunities within the Adirondack Park, making Saratoga RV Park an ideal central base for varied adventures.

To start with, the gentleman who checked us in was so pleasant and helpful. A great start. The CG has been expanded and we were located in - as they called it - “The Desert”. No shade within 50 yards. Also, we had 8 potholes just outside of our RV door. Very treacherous. The pool was fabulous. We were in the pool for most of each day and met wonderful, helpful people. The seasonal residents made sure that we had a good time as they offered many great suggestions- “King’s Dairy” for ice cream. Restrooms were spotless. This was wonderfully relaxing stay.
Jul 29, 2025 · John Wood5 stars for me because it suited our needs perfectly. The sites are HUGE. I bought my girls a badminton net bc we literally had enough room to set it up. I really like the vibe and the fellow campers there too- it's laid back with a mix of retirees and "full timers" that are all very friendly and want to help you get acclimated! To me it felt like a very safe environment, & let me tell ya we travel all over the country and have had some sketchy experiences at campgrounds. I had no issue letting my teen girls wander around and swim and felt very safe with them on the premises. It's not a wild party vibe at all, a lot of the people staying there are employed by contractors in the area and get up at 5am for work, so it's very quiet. Steve is amazing! He's only one man, but he truly is trying to do it all with the help of his wife Kim. They genuinely seem so invested in making sure everything is operating and people are happy. When there are issues Steve is on it! They're working hard to make upgrades and you can tell they care about the place. If my husband's job location didn't change we would've gladly stayed there for months and loved it.
Jul 01, 2025 · K HughesMight be one of the nicest RV parks we've stayed in. Near Saratoga Springs and other attractions. We have a small RPod and the wooded sites are so nice with good buffer between sites in many cases. The bath houses are like spas - all brand new and spotlessly clean. Had a nice time at the ice cream social. The pool is nice and clean and they're building an additional new one. Steve & Kim are charming and helpful. I'm generally not a fan of RV parks but this is an exception. Hope to go back again.
Jun 25, 2025 · C SBig RV Park. Level site, easy access to utilities. Park had a pool and room for activities, but we didn't use any of them. Only stayed 2 nights. Bathroom was very close, clean and spacious. Unfortunately, there was no hot water! We didn't discover this until the second day. Repairman was supposed to look at it. The park has a lot of seasonal residents. Spacious site with lots of trees and woods. Good location to local sites.
