Sunrise View RV Park About
For Michiganders planning an adventure to the picturesque Upper Peninsula, finding a practical and conveniently located RV park can be a key part of the journey. Sunrise View RV Park in Brimley, MI, offers a straightforward option for those seeking a place to park their RV and explore the surrounding area. While it may not boast a vast array of recreational activities or sprawling green spaces, its primary appeal lies in its strategic location and functional approach to RV camping, making it a viable choice for travelers who prioritize convenience and proximity to local attractions.
Sunrise View RV Park is designed to serve as a practical base camp for your UP explorations. It caters primarily to RV travelers looking for a place to hook up and rest between excursions. While some aspects of its presentation, such as grass maintenance and site spacing, have been noted by past visitors, its location directly across from a popular casino offers an immediate entertainment option for adults. For those who spend their days exploring the natural beauty and unique destinations of the Upper Peninsula and simply need a functional spot to return to each night, Sunrise View RV Park provides that essential service.
Sunrise View RV Park is conveniently situated at 11386 W Lakeshore Dr, Brimley, MI 49715, USA. This address places it within the charming community of Brimley, located on the shores of Lake Superior's Whitefish Bay in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Its position on West Lakeshore Drive offers easy access for RVs and trailers, ensuring a smooth arrival and departure.
The park's most prominent accessibility highlight is its direct proximity to a casino, located just across the street. This provides immediate access to entertainment, dining, and gaming opportunities for adult campers. Beyond the immediate vicinity, Sunrise View RV Park serves as a practical hub for exploring a wider range of Upper Peninsula attractions. While specific travel times to popular destinations aren't detailed in the provided information, its location in Brimley generally means it's within a reasonable driving distance of key UP landmarks such as Sault Ste. Marie (home to the Soo Locks), Tahquamenon Falls, and various lighthouses and natural areas. For Michiganders eager to discover the beauty of the eastern UP, this RV park offers a functional starting point for their adventures.
Sunrise View RV Park focuses on providing the fundamental services necessary for RV camping. While detailed lists of amenities are not extensive in the provided information, the core offerings suggested by reviews include:
- RV Sites with Hookups: The park primarily offers sites designed for RVs, presumably including essential hookups like electricity, water, and potentially sewer (though specific types of hookups are not detailed in the provided reviews).
- Parking Space: Sites are provided for parking RVs, offering a designated spot for your vehicle and living space.
- Proximity to Casino: Direct access to a casino across the street, offering entertainment and dining options.
It's important to note that the provided reviews mention "barebones" aspects and a lack of recreational activities on-site, suggesting that the services are limited to the most basic RV necessities rather than extensive facilities like bathhouses, laundry, or playgrounds. Campers should plan accordingly for their needs beyond basic hookups and a parking spot.
Sunrise View RV Park, despite its straightforward approach, offers specific features and highlights that might appeal to certain types of campers:
- Direct Casino Proximity: A significant highlight is its location directly across the street from a casino. This is a major convenience for adult campers interested in gaming, live entertainment, or casino dining.
- Practicality as a Base Camp: The park functions effectively as a simple place to park and sleep while spending days exploring the surrounding Upper Peninsula attractions. It caters to travelers who do not require extensive on-site recreational facilities.
- Focus on RV Accommodation: Designed primarily for RVs, it provides dedicated spaces for these vehicles, which can be appealing for RV owners seeking a designated spot.
- Convenient Location in Brimley: Situated in Brimley, it offers a quieter atmosphere than more bustling tourist hubs, while still providing relatively easy access to regional attractions.
However, it's also important to acknowledge common feedback from past visitors, such as concerns regarding unkempt grass, prevalent tree roots on sites, and sites being positioned "far too close." These points suggest that while the park is functional, the overall aesthetic and spaciousness may not meet everyone's expectations.
Based on the provided information, Sunrise View RV Park does not detail specific promotions or special offers. Its appeal appears to stem from its fundamental purpose as a convenient and practical RV parking solution, particularly for those interested in the adjacent casino. Campgrounds that are described as "barebones" often maintain consistent and competitive pricing as their primary value proposition, rather than offering fluctuating discounts. For the most current information on rates and any potential deals, it is always recommended to contact the park directly. However, campers should anticipate a focus on functional utility rather than elaborate promotional packages.

Marie, or the nearby lighthouses, and you simply need a cost-effective and conveniently located place to park your rig, Sunrise View RV Park fits that need. It’s a practical choice for those who value location and basic utility over a resort-style camping experience, allowing Michiganders to spend their time and resources on what truly matters to them in the beautiful Upper Peninsula.
Customer Reviews
The lady who checked us in was Extremely Rude. The grass hadn't been cut, site plagued with tree roots. Sites are far too close. The only redeeming grace was the park is across the street from a casino. I won't rush back.
