Location and Accessibility

Tanager Woods RV Campground is located at 269 Clark Ln, Dorchester, SC 29437, USA. This address places the campground in Dorchester, South Carolina, a region known for its natural beauty and proximity to coastal areas. For South Carolina locals, its location offers a peaceful retreat that is still reasonably accessible from various parts of the state.

Dorchester is situated in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina, placing Tanager Woods within a convenient driving distance from major cities like Charleston, Summerville, and North Charleston. While the campground is described as "somewhat distant from Charleston," this very characteristic contributes to its desired "quiet park in the woods" ambiance. It means you can easily access the vibrant attractions of Charleston for a day trip – exploring its historic sites, culinary scene, and cultural offerings – and then retreat to the tranquility of Tanager Woods at the end of the day.

The specific location on Clark Lane suggests a setting that is likely off the main thoroughfares, enhancing the peaceful and secluded feel that campers appreciate. The proximity to an "Audubon Habitat Preserve" is a significant draw, indicating that the area is rich in natural beauty and wildlife. This allows campers to enjoy nature walks and birdwatching right on their doorstep.

Accessibility to Tanager Woods RV Campground from major highways in South Carolina should be straightforward, allowing for a smooth journey whether you're coming from the Midlands, the Upstate, or other parts of the Lowcountry. This blend of a secluded, natural environment with reasonable access to urban amenities makes Tanager Woods an attractive option for South Carolinians seeking both relaxation and opportunities for exploration in their home state.

Promotions or Special Offers

The provided information for Tanager Woods RV Campground highlights a very straightforward and competitive pricing structure that acts as its primary "special offer." The rates are clearly stated as $25 per night or $155 per week. This weekly rate already offers a significant discount compared to paying the daily rate for seven days (which would be $175), effectively giving campers two nights free when they opt for a weekly stay.

This consistent, transparent, and affordable pricing is a key benefit, especially for South Carolina locals or travelers who are budget-conscious or planning extended stays. Unlike campgrounds that might rely on fluctuating seasonal promotions, Tanager Woods appears to offer consistent value year-round. This predictability in pricing allows campers to plan their stays with confidence, knowing they are getting a good deal for full hookups in a peaceful, natural setting.

While there are no explicit "limited-time offers" or "discount codes" mentioned, the inherent value of the weekly rate serves as an ongoing promotion. For any potential updates on pricing or specific deals for longer durations (e.g., monthly rates), prospective guests are encouraged to contact the campground directly. The friendly host, Mr. Clark, would be the best resource for the most current information and to discuss any specific needs for your stay.

A nice place....good for RVs. This is a quiet park in the woods with a great Audobon Habitat Preserve nearby, though it is somewhat distant from Charleston. They have a Laundry facility, but it is fairly expensive at $3.50 for a load of wash and $1 for a dryer load. Pet friendly, but all dogs are to be on leash at all times.... Except the owners dog. We stayed here for a week to visit the area. They offer full hookups and trash dumpster, at $25/night or $155/week. A good price for this area. As full time RVers traveling across the country, we recommend it.

If I could give a zero star review I would! Called to make reservations for my parents in an emergency situation. Was told that unless their camper was a 2003 model or higher we were not permitted to make reservations !! Even if in like new immaculate condition as most well kept campers are. Extremely disapointng.
