Promotions or Special Offers

As Twin Creeks Recreation Area Campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), it typically operates under a standardized fee structure, similar to other federally managed recreation sites. This means you generally won't find seasonal "promotions" or "special offers" in the way a privately owned commercial campground might advertise.

However, visitors may be eligible for discounts through established federal recreation pass programs. These programs are designed to provide benefits across various federal lands and waters, including USACE campgrounds like Twin Creeks:

  • America the Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Series:
    • Senior Pass: Available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents aged 62 or older. This pass often grants a 50% discount on the fee for a single campsite at federal recreation sites, including USACE campgrounds.
    • Access Pass: Available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. Similar to the Senior Pass, it typically provides a 50% discount on camping fees.
    • Annual Pass: While it primarily covers entrance fees to national parks and federal recreation sites, it does not typically offer discounts on camping fees themselves. However, if your trip involves visiting other fee-based federal areas, this pass could be beneficial.

It is always recommended to check the official U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website for Lake Ouachita, or the Recreation.gov website (which is the primary platform for booking federal campsites), for the most current information regarding fees, pass eligibility, and any operational updates. The "special offer" at Twin Creeks is truly the value inherent in its fantastic lakeside location, well-maintained (and very clean!) facilities, and access to a variety of recreational opportunities, all at competitive federal rates.

Booking through Recreation.gov allows you to see the exact fees for your chosen dates and site, and any applicable discounts can be applied during the reservation process.

The bathrooms were like an oasis. I was SO cold in the middle of the night. Walked into the bathroom and was greeted by a clean, nice smelling, and WARM bathroom that had real toilets. I actually hung out in there for a while to thaw out. 😂 Beautiful view and nice camping spots.
