Promotions or Special Offers

As a privately owned campground, Voyager Campground manages its own promotions and rate structures. These can vary based on the season, demand, and specific policies set by owners Bren and Al. While the provided reviews don't list specific percentage discounts, the general positive sentiment about pricing suggests competitive rates for the services offered. To get the most accurate and current information on any available promotions, it is always best to contact Voyager Campground directly via phone or by checking their official communication channels (e.g., website, if available).

  • Seasonal Rates: Given that the campground has dedicated "seasonal campers," it almost certainly offers competitive seasonal rates. These rates allow campers to keep their RVs or trailers on-site for the entire operating season (typically May through September or October), providing significant savings compared to nightly or weekly stays. Seasonal rates usually include full hookups.
  • Long-Term Stay Discounts: For non-seasonal campers, it's common for private campgrounds to offer reduced rates for extended stays, such as weekly or monthly bookings, compared to the daily rate. This encourages longer visits.
  • Early Bird Specials: Campgrounds sometimes offer discounts for seasonal campers who renew their sites early for the upcoming season or for new seasonal campers who book well in advance.
  • Off-Peak Season Rates: If the campground offers overnight stays outside of the busiest summer months, it might have reduced rates during the "shoulder seasons" (spring and fall) when demand is typically lower. These can be attractive for those seeking quiet getaways.
  • Cash/Check Payment Convenience: While not a "promotion," the acceptance of cash or check (and the note that they "don't take cards") is a specific operational detail that can be a convenience for some and should be noted by others planning their finances for the trip.
  • "Good Price" for Value: The review stating "The price was good and we had full hook-ups, which was nice" suggests that the overall value proposition is strong, providing good amenities for the cost. This inherently acts as a draw without a specific "discount."

For the most current information on seasonal availability, nightly/weekly rates, and any specific promotions, directly contacting Voyager Campground is highly recommended. Their attentive owners, Bren and Al, would be the best source for all pricing and operational details.

The owners were very nice and responded to emails quickly. They were seen around the campground often. It was very quiet and even had a nice little playground. We did not use the bathroom building but had the door code in case if storms. The price was good and we had full hook-ups, which was nice. They don't take cards so make sure to have cash or check.

Review by Roger-- not Rebecca. Stayed here 3 nights. Couple things you should know. Firewood is not free as stated on the website. It's also green and will not burn, even with charcoal briquettes under it. Bathhouse was clean. Showers were hot-- but too hot to stand under. Mentioned this to the owner, and the response wasn't encouraging. Campground was quiet-- only a few seasonals here. Many of the "sites" are not good. Standing water in some, quite a few have no fire ring! They do have water and electric. Basketball? Volleyball? The campground is not the primary business of the owner, and this is important to note! Either the campground should be brought up in quality or the website quality should be reduced. I would have told the owner all this in person-- except I detected that he wasn't super interested in a guest's thoughts. Guy was friendly. The campground just needs a lot of work. I will spend my money elsewhere next trip.

Hidden fees! Quoted fees and statements of management/owners not being honored. Inconsistent charges, different fees being charged to different campers for same situation. Closes early, doesn't stay open through MEA, so if you camp on MEA weekend you will have to pay for that separately somewhere else. Though a seasonal we have only had the opportunity to camp 3 times this year, electric is being charged at just over $25 a month, though the owner originally told us it would be $10 a month base. Been there 3x in 3 months and have all ready paid more than our typical yearly fee. We have spoken to other campers and they have not even heard of this minimum fee. Have a camper, but the kids like to use a tent periodically, owner says this is not allowed here unless we want to pay extra. Spoke to other seasonals who put up extra tents, they are not being charged extra. We suspect that we are being charged this way because we have a bunch of kids. Guests are charged heavily! A group with 18 teens showed up and stayed on one site and he threatened to charge them $180 for the night $10 a head, they would've paid less having 5 separate sites. Owner also told us it would be okay to have an extra tent or two for guests for no fee as long as it didn't happen repeatedly. Two months later when our guests showed, he charged them anyway, quite embarrassing since we had been assured of no fee and so told our guest there was no charge to stay with us. The fee would've been fine if we had just been told about it up front instead of yanked around. Owner lectured our guests about everything that costs him and his wife money to run the place and how he had to be compensated. He made examples of things like upkeep of the bathroom, this would've been a legit example if stalls in the women's restroom hadn't spent the weekend backed up because they owners weren't there to address issues. Besides we use our own camper bathrooms and showers almost entirely. The owner harrassed my guests about fees, told them he didn't know if he was going to charge them per tent or per head like the teens on the other site and then told them he would be back to "settle up" with them later. We spent this weekend wondering and dreading what kind of additional fees the owner was going to decide on or come up with next. The owners/managers just show up randomly and can never be found when needed because when they are present they seem to spend most of their time in campers sites hanging out. Broken playground equipment left out for kids to injure themselves on. Advertises free firewood, this is not the case, firewood is for a fee unless you want to bring up your chainsaw and head into the field or the woods with the ticks and misquitos to clean up the campground for the owners. Thought this would be a nice campground at a lesser fee since we don't camp much lately due to having a toddler, we forwent the campground with pools, activities for the other kids, etc... not worth it! Owner is trying to boost his ratings by reviewing the campground himself. Al Vucicevic is the owner and gave himself 5 stars as you can see.

This Campground is well kempt and clean. The bathroom/shower building was basic and clean. They have a pavilion with some picnic tables, playground, and horseshoes. There are some seasonal sites, but the campground was very quiet for being a weekend.
