As a facility managed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) as part of Jubilee College State Park, Jubilee College Campground operates under standardized state park camping fees and policies. Therefore, traditional commercial "promotions" or "special offers" in the marketing sense are generally not available. Instead, the value lies in the affordable and consistent pricing structure provided by the state.
However, it's important for prospective campers to understand the typical fee structure and associated guidelines:
-
Campsite Fees: Rates for electric-only campsites in Illinois State Parks are set by the IDNR. These fees are generally very reasonable compared to private campgrounds. The specific rate may vary slightly by season or day of the week, but generally, expect a nightly fee for electric sites.
-
Reservation Fees: For sites in Loops A and B, which are reservable online, a non-refundable reservation fee (typically around $5) is usually applied per booking.
-
Length of Stay Policy: Campers can stay for a maximum of 14 days within any 30-day period. After a 30-day absence from the park, campers are eligible to return for another stay. This policy ensures fair access for all visitors.
-
First-Come, First-Served Option: Loop C offers a "first-come, first-served" basis, which can be advantageous for spontaneous trips, though it comes with the understanding that a reserved spot in Loops A or B takes priority if a conflict arises.
-
Senior/Disabled Discounts: Illinois residents who are seniors or have certain disabilities may be eligible for discounted camping rates at state parks. Details should be confirmed with the IDNR or park office.
While you won't find a "buy one get one free" deal, the inherent value of camping in a well-maintained state park with spacious sites, clean facilities, and extensive natural resources at a state-regulated price is a significant benefit for Illinois residents. It is always best to consult the official Illinois DNR website or contact the park office directly for the most current pricing and reservation policies.

Customer Reviews
This is a great State Park. We camped in the B Loop. Originally had Site #10, but is was a bit hard to level and tree covered (Starlink issues). The park host is friendly and amazing. He let us swap sites. He came by later to make sure all was well. Our site had 30a power, but no water. There are toilets, showers, central water and they are clean and functional. The sites are spaced far apart, and have really nice common space for games. We did a couple of hikes without seeing another person. Dogs loved the wooded trails, and we had to work to keep them out of the cool ponds!! Overall, a great park and we'd come back in a heartbeat.
If you want a quiet, spacious place to camp, this is it. There are 3 different loops - A, B & C. We stay in loop B as this is the only loop with showers. While each site only has electricity, if you know the campground, you can select a site that's close to a water faucet so you don't have to fill up your tank before you get to your site. That's what we did. There are a few faucets here & there. You can only stay here up to 14 days in a 30-day period. Then, after 30 days, you can come back. Loops A & B are reserve online only & you have to make that reservation 3 days in advance. Loop C is first come, first serve. If you show up without a reservation, you can camp in Loops A & B but if someone made a reservation online while you're still in that spot, they have priority so you will need to pack up & find another spot.
Reserve online or pay cash on site. Campsites lack trees. Only one shower house for the whole campground.
I was camping in my motor home for a couple of nights. After setting up the only way to get around was to walk or ride my bicycle . The second day I decided I wanted to grab 3 bundles of firewood. I rode my bike to the wood shed and was going to make 3 trips , 1 bundle at a time. Just at that moment a worker on his Gator came by and I told him my situation. I asked him if he would take 3 bundles to my campsite. He agreed. !!! A big thank you to the young man who I believe was on bathroom detail. He certainly saved me a lot of leg work
Wonderful campsites. Fairly open, but some spots have shade. Lots of grass. Not overly crowded for mid-July. Just showed up, registered, and enjoyed the late afternoon and evening. Just far enough off the freeway that traffic noise could not be heard.
