Barry's Resort & Mobile Home Prk About
For Michigan locals seeking a long-term residential spot for their mobile home or a seasonal escape for their RV, Barry's Resort & Mobile Home Prk in Hastings, Michigan, presents itself as a community in a period of significant change. This dual-purpose property aims to cater to both permanent residents and summer RV vacationers, offering a unique blend of community living and seasonal recreation. This article will provide a clear, engaging, and informative overview of Barry's Resort & Mobile Home Prk, exploring its location, potential services, and what it offers to Michigan residents, all while acknowledging the valuable insights from recent customer feedback.
Barry's Resort & Mobile Home Prk is situated at 2875 S Charlton Park Rd, Hastings, MI 49058, USA. It operates as both a mobile home park for long-term residents and an RV park, particularly emphasizing its "R.V. Summer Park." The most prominent recent information about the park comes from customer reviews, which present a stark contrast. One highly positive review highlights a significant shift: "Just a little FYI… Barry’s Mobile Home Park and R.V. Summer Park have been under new management for the last year, and things have been changing for the better! Please remember after years of mismanagement It takes time to “legally” weed out the “trouble makers” but it is happening!" This reviewer goes on to praise the mobile home park for being "full of very nice, clean, residents who take pride in their property" and calls the RV Summer Park their "happy place for the last 3 summers," commending the "wonderful people" there. This person gives a "big shout out to Ginger and Steve for all their hard work and dedication to turn Barry’s Mobile Park and Barry’s Summer Park into a safe, clean and enjoyable environment!"
However, a deeply concerning negative review paints a very different picture, stating, "DO NOT STAY HERE! For the safety of your children RUN! This park defends child predators... Not to mention the place is a DUMP! Junk laying everywhere, and has an infestation of bedbugs and cockroaches. Everywhere you look there’s a cockroach or bed bug! This whole park is just 🗑️ 🤮. Avoid this place at all costs! I’d rather sleep on a bench than stay at this place. Bunch of psychos!"
These highly divergent reviews strongly suggest a park undergoing a significant transition under new management. While the positive review indicates active efforts to improve the environment and address past issues, the severe negative review highlights the potential for lingering problems or past conditions. For any prospective resident or RVer, this underscores the absolute necessity of direct contact, a personal visit, and thorough due diligence to assess the current state and management's commitment to safety and quality.

Barry's Resort & Mobile Home Prk in Hastings, Michigan, offers a compelling, albeit complex, proposition for Michigan locals. For those seeking a long-term, potentially affordable mobile home living option or a dedicated seasonal RV spot, its location in charming Hastings provides a quiet, rural setting with good access to a welcoming small town and its amenities. The positive review, highlighting "new management" (Ginger and Steve) actively working to transform the park into a "safe, clean and enjoyable environment" and praising "nice, clean, residents" and "wonderful people," suggests a community striving for a significant positive shift. If these improvements are indeed taking hold, it could represent a valuable opportunity for locals to find a stable and pleasant environment.
However, the extremely severe negative review, citing concerns about child safety, pervasive infestations (bedbugs and cockroaches), and overall deplorable conditions ("DUMP! Junk laying everywhere"), demands the most serious consideration. This stark contrast underscores that prospective residents and RVers must exercise extreme caution and perform thorough due diligence. It is absolutely essential to visit the park in person to assess the current conditions, speak directly and extensively with the current management about their plans for addressing past issues (particularly the safety concerns and pest control), and, if possible, engage with existing residents to get a balanced, up-to-date perspective on the living environment. If the positive changes under new management are genuinely sustained and verifiable, Barry's could evolve into a suitable option for Michigan locals seeking a quiet, community-oriented living or seasonal retreat. However, without this critical due diligence, the potential risks highlighted in the negative review are too significant to overlook.

Just a little FYI… Barry’s Mobile Home Park and R.V. Summer Park have been under new management for the last year, and things have been changing for the better! Please remember after years of mismanagement It takes time to “ legally” weed out the “trouble makers” but it is happening ! The Mobile Home Park is full of very nice, clean, residents who take pride in their property. The R.V. Summer Park has been my happy place for the last 3 summers and the people I call my friends and family are wonderful people! If you are looking for a clean, quiet and relaxing spot for the summer there are a few spots left for your R.V. Big shout out to Ginger and Steve for all their hard work and dedication to turn Barry’s Mobile Park and Barry’s Summer Park into a safe, clean and enjoyable environment!
DO NOT STAY HERE! For the safety of your children RUN! This park defends child predators, they all stand together to protect the predator! And don’t give two craps about the child that the predator is praying on! Not to mention the place is a DUMP! Junk laying everywhere, and has an infestation of bedbugs and cockroaches 🪳. Everywhere you look there’s a cockroach or bed bug! This whole park is just 🗑️ 🤮. Avoid this place at all costs! I’d rather sleep on a bench than stay at this place. Bunch of psychos!
I too watched the video. I have lived in this community for 8 1/2 years. We do not now or ever protect predators! There are mostly older people who live here but we have families with children. There are no registered offenders in this park. The individuals in the video do not live here and had no business being here. The secretary in the office didn't know what was going on and told everyone involved that to leave.
THIS PLACE IS A DANGEROUS PLACE IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN! These people support and protect child predators! Watch the video of Bikers against Predators and see for yourself! These people were trying to protect a man who was meeting up with a 12 year old! SICK PEOPLE
Cockroach infested, known for drugs, criminals, mobile homes in poor condition, poor management. Wouldn't even recommend it for a dog.
