Whether you're passing through, working on the road, or looking for a long-term base, the right park can feel like a home away from home. In Rincon, Georgia, just a short drive from the historic city of Savannah, you'll find Greenpeace RV Park, an establishment that has served the RV community for decades. This article is crafted to provide Georgians with a factual, engaging, and comprehensive look at what Greenpeace RV Park has to offer, helping you decide if it's the right spot for your next adventure.
As content writing specialists focused on local business SEO, we aim to deliver clear and reliable information. We understand that prospective campers and long-term residents need accurate details to make informed decisions. We'll explore the park's offerings, its location, and what you can expect from a stay at Greenpeace RV Park.
Greenpeace RV Park, founded in the mid-1980s by Pete Kavali, was envisioned as a tranquil haven for RVs, nestled "among the trees" to provide shaded spaces during the warm South Georgia summers. Located in Rincon, Georgia, the park offers 50 ample lots, all equipped with full hook-ups. It caters to a diverse clientele, including temporary workers from nearby industries such as the Savannah Port, Georgia Power, and Gulfstream, as well as retirees, families, and short-term renters just passing through.
The park prides itself on its clean and maintained RV lots and responsive management. While it emphasizes a peaceful environment, it's important to note that like many parks, external factors can influence the ambient noise. Greenpeace RV Park aims to provide a functional and comfortable base for RVers seeking a convenient location in the Rincon area.
Greenpeace RV Park is strategically located at 155 Caroni Dr, Rincon, GA 31326, USA. Rincon is a growing city in Effingham County, Georgia, offering a blend of small-town charm with convenient access to larger urban centers. The park's location is a significant advantage, as "all stores are within 5 min" in Rincon, ensuring that residents have easy access to groceries, supplies, dining, and other essential services. This makes daily errands quick and hassle-free for campers.
Furthermore, Rincon's proximity to Savannah (approximately 18 miles away) and Pooler (about 13 miles away) means that guests have convenient access to a wider range of attractions, historical sites, shopping centers, and employment opportunities. The park's accessibility from major roadways facilitates easy arrival and departure for RVs of all sizes.
Greenpeace RV Park provides a comprehensive range of services designed to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay for all its residents:
Several key features and highlights contribute to the appeal of Greenpeace RV Park:
While the park offers many positive attributes, it's important to acknowledge some potential considerations highlighted by past residents:
Greenpeace RV Park offers a clear pricing structure with daily, weekly, and monthly rates. While specific "promotions" in the traditional sense (e.g., seasonal discounts or limited-time deals) are not explicitly detailed in publicly available information, the park's transparent long-term rates are a significant draw for those planning extended stays. The monthly rate of $600 plus electricity is a competitive offer for full hookup sites in the Rincon/Savannah area.
Prospective guests are always encouraged to contact the park directly to inquire about current availability, the most up-to-date pricing, and any specific policies that may apply to their stay. This direct communication will ensure you receive the most accurate information tailored to your needs.
For reservations, inquiries, or to learn more about Greenpeace RV Park, you can reach them using the following contact details:
It is always a good practice to call ahead, especially if you have questions about specific site availability, pet policies, or to discuss the noise factors mentioned, ensuring a suitable stay for your RV.
For Georgians, particularly those in the Savannah area or those working on temporary assignments in the region, Greenpeace RV Park in Rincon offers a practical and well-regarded solution for RV accommodation. Its strong points – including clean and well-maintained full hookup sites, responsive management, and pet-friendly policies – create a comfortable living environment that is often hard to find. The fair monthly pricing, which includes water, sewage, and lawn care, makes it an economically sound choice for extended stays.
While acknowledging the potential for external noise from the nearby road, residential areas, and gun range, the park's convenient location close to local amenities in Rincon and major employment hubs, combined with the presence of essential services like central mail and trash, makes it a highly functional and convenient base. For those seeking a reliable, no-frills RV park that focuses on providing a clean, accessible, and managed space in South Georgia, Greenpeace RV Park stands out as a solid option for locals looking for a welcoming and well-supported RV community.
Ive stayed here twice for a total of about 15 months. The park itself and the RV lots are clean and maintained. Management is responding quickly with solutions for any issues. The price of $600 + electric is fair. Unfortunately there is a county road going through the front entire length of the campground which can be noise if you live on the front side of ten RV Park. Across the county road are a few residential backyards and one of them is really noisy and shoots guns in his backyard which can be really annoying. Also on the back of the RV park are some noisy ppl who don’t care about quite time and having party’s on their lit up porch. Furthermore near by is a gun range which also can be frustrating. Rincon itself has everything you need and all stores are within 5 min. Mailbox for mail is available. The only thing I recommend is to put up a Map for the hardworking Delivery Drivers who are trying to find the specific RV Lot numbers. If management would offer a map, a lot of time and struggle could be avoided for the Deliveries.
May 04, 2024 · Andre EPete was a wonderful man, lived there for years included my family he didn't care about getting rich, he wanted everyone to feel like they weren't home. Now it seems like a business I'm glad we left when we did. RIP Pete
Jul 29, 2024 · Heather HamiltonI'm currently staying here but leaving tomorrow. I've been here 8 months and I must say that the name truly fits. Although there are no amenities this place is so peaceful and just a short drive if you wanna get out for the day. I would definitely recommend.
Sep 08, 2023 · Kae WilliamsMy husband and I are long term people and we think it is a wonderful place to stay. It is nice and cool in summer and quiet most days (weekends and sporting events settle soon enough).
Sep 21, 2023 · Laura BeseckeThis place is AMAZING!!!! It is so beautiful and quiet here! Carmen and the other lady that run it are absolutely AWESOME!!!! They are super nice and willing to work with you as long as your are honest with them!!!! You don't find that at too many places now a days! I can't wait for all the upgrades they are in the process of installing to be finished. They will make the park even more beautiful than it already is. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an rv park in the area!!!!
