Customer Reviews
Excellent campground! It was nice and clean and quiet. People were observant of the quiet hours. Park employees, local police and Sheriff's Deputies made regular trips through. We would definitely stay here again!
The lake was great. Great for fishing, swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. The vault toilets could be cleaned daily to improve. One of the vents was broken on of them- the stench was very strong. Porta Potties ran out of toilet Saturday night- I’m glad we brought some otherwise we would have been in trouble.
This place is great! We've been here twice. Once in a regular campsite and most recently at one of the "bike-in" sites. Both were well kept and clean. The amenities in terms of beach access, playground and hiking trails are plentiful. I loved the "bike-in sites". Easily accessable from the Three Rivers trail system with many signs leading the way, the sites had a fire ring, build in hammock poles, a bike rack, trash cans and a food locker. The bathrooms were only a few feet away as well. The bike sites are non-reservable so you just show up, pay the fee and you're all set.
It's a good place to go if you want simple camping. You can reserve a campground 1 year away and the one amazing site always goes booked for a year. They have bike trials so bring a bike. Sometimes you can rent one from them. You can rent a canoe too. Beach and playground. No electricity sites but they have a few that let you bring a generator. This isn't a place I'd recommend bringing the kids on 4th of July weekend. It does tend to get loud and obnoxious.
This campsite has won me back to the possibility of camping. The spots were well manicured, and the amenities were well kept. The workers were painting the enclosures while we were there. The beach was beautiful. The only problems we found were the bugs. We were eaten alive by mosquitoes and flies. Otherwise, it was a very peaceful place.
