This address places it directly alongside the picturesque Minnesota River, offering stunning views and immediate access to the river's natural beauty.

The strategic positioning in Shakopee, a vibrant city in Scott County, ensures excellent accessibility for residents throughout the Twin Cities metro area and beyond. Shakopee itself is well-connected via major highways, making the drive to Wills Riverview Campground straightforward and convenient from virtually any part of Minnesota. Once in Shakopee, the campground is easily locatable, ensuring a smooth arrival for even the largest RVs.

One of the most significant advantages of its location is the direct connection to the local trail system. The campground is situated right next to a "kickass hike and bike trail" that runs directly along the Minnesota River. This means campers have immediate access to miles of scenic pathways perfect for walking, jogging, or cycling, all while enjoying the serene riverfront scenery. This accessibility to outdoor recreation right outside your RV door is a major draw for active individuals and families.

Furthermore, its proximity to Shakopee means campers are never far from essential services, dining options, and local attractions like Canterbury Park and Valleyfair. Wills Riverview Campground offers a range of services designed to provide a comfortable and convenient experience for RVers, regardless of the season.

  • Year-Round Operation: A standout service is its year-round availability. This is a rare and highly valued offering in Minnesota, allowing RVers to enjoy camping even in the winter months. Prospective winter campers are advised that "Winter spots fill up early so plan ahead."

  • RV Sites: The park provides designated sites for RVs, although specific details on hookup types (e.g., water, electric, sewer) are best confirmed directly with the campground. Given its nature as an RV park, it can be expected to offer essential hookup services.

  • On-Site Management: The campground is run by dedicated individuals, identified as Jason and Kim, who are frequently praised for their responsiveness and commitment to their campers.

  • Laundry Facilities: While not always readily available for use due to management priority, laundry facilities (washers and dryers) are stated to be on-site. It is advisable to inquire about the best times for use or alternative laundry options nearby if this is a critical service for your stay.

  • Bathhouses: Bathhouse facilities are available, though some past reviews indicate potential inconsistencies in cleanliness and provision of supplies like toilet paper. Campers are encouraged to come prepared with their own essential toiletries.

  • Pet-Friendly Environment: While not explicitly detailed, most RV parks are pet-friendly, and a riverside location with trails makes it suitable for those traveling with pets. It’s always best to confirm their specific pet policies.

Wills Riverview Campground distinguishes itself with several key features and highlights that enhance the RV camping experience, particularly for those who appreciate natural settings and active recreation.

  • Prime Riverside Location and Views: The park's most significant highlight is its direct adjacency to the Minnesota River. This proximity offers a unique advantage for river activities or simply enjoying the tranquil scenery.

  • Direct Trail Access: A major draw is the immediate access to a "kickass hike and bike trail right on the Minnesota River." This trail system is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, offering miles of scenic pathways for walking, running, and cycling directly from the campground. It’s an invaluable amenity for active campers looking to explore the local landscape.

  • Year-Round RVing Capability: As one of the "few parks in the state that is open all year," Wills Riverview Campground provides a rare opportunity for winter RV camping in Minnesota. This feature is particularly attractive for full-time RVers or those who enjoy the unique experience of a Minnesota winter.

  • Dedicated Management: The park is run by Jason and Kim, who are described by many as "Rock!!" and "super cool," indicating a generally positive and helpful attitude towards campers. This hands-on management approach can significantly enhance the camping experience.

  • Community Atmosphere (for some): For long-term residents, the park appears to foster a sense of community, although experiences may vary, as indicated by conflicting reviews regarding management interactions over time.

While specific, regularly advertised promotions for Wills Riverview Campground are not readily available in public domain information, RV parks often have flexible pricing structures or offers based on the length of stay, season, or type of RV. Given its popularity and status as a year-round park, especially in the colder months when "Winter spots fill up early," the primary value proposition is its consistent availability and unique location rather than discount promotions. It is highly recommended that prospective campers contact Jason and Kim directly via phone to inquire about current rates, potential long-term stay discounts, or any seasonal specials they might offer. Planning ahead, particularly for winter stays, is crucial due to high demand.

We lived here for about 5 years the owners started off great they helped us out when we needed it! And it was much appreciated! However we noticed that they use people and when your NO good anymore they start drama and kick you out we seen this happen each year with different people and they trash talk about people! Well last year these new people came in with there 4 children and started using them and Kim and Jason who are the owners of the campground! talk trash about Jessica and Jarrod! every day! I have proof of that! but now they made Jessica and Jarrod there “ new management” be warned they call the cops on you for everything! These NEW managers have NO clue what they are in for! Not to mention the FBI is living in the campground because there is a huge investigation going on with Jason he’s on a watch list! This Campground is not recommended! Bath houses are dirty they don’t clean it they don’t provide toilet paper the washer and dryers are constantly being used by management so you can never do your laundry! This place sucks we will never return! I hope this place gets shut down for good!

This is not a weekend campground!! There were no fire rings, picnic tables or wood available. It is right on a train track so you listen to trains day and night. It was 45 a night for two people and the 30 dollars a night for additional people! On top of all that they are now sending a bill for electricity of 18 dollars. Let’s not even discuss the amount of traffic in and out of this tiny campground day and night. The bathrooms didn’t have toilet paper the whole first day . Would not recommend staying here.

I would give 0 stars if possible. Owner Kim is very nice, Cuban worker is also very nice & helpful! Other than that, the bath house/laundry smells horrible like mold & mildew. The bathrooms are locked at night. There is very little grass, mostly dirt/mud. Other campers are very nice. You really can not see the river unless you hike down there. The other owner, in my opinion, chooses who he likes and helps and who he decides get no attention or help whatsoever. You can camp weekly, but he decides how long you can stay, with 60 hour notice to leave after 3 months! Don't plan on long term, unless you like to gamble! Not worth it if you ask me! Although I did not officially stay at Will's, I did pay my daughter's rent the entire time she stayed there.

Nice location. Owners Kim and Jason are VERY understanding and accommodating. They helped my son (first time RV resident). Gave a lot of advice and truly tried to help him with winterization. They are down to Earth people who go out of their way for their residents. I thank them both sincerely!
