This is a very beautiful and well-kept campground. We enjoy every trip here.
Nice sized lot, restrooms and showers close to our site. Got to see lots of different wildlife while hiking around the campgrounds.
Rented cabin 5. First get there and code won’t work. No one at gate to help. Had to find camp host which he had to call 3 people before he found help. Almost an hour later while my family is just standing and waiting a guy came with a key and unlocked door for us. He apologized and promised the next day he would send free wood to our cabin for having to wait so long. That wood never came. First morning we woke to my son with bites on him in lines and triangles. I was not educated so I didn’t know what it was. Second morning woke to whole family completely ate up. I paid 50.00 and did a video chat with my doctor immediately which confirmed they were bed bug bites. We immediately packed up and checked out early and went to laundry mat. My daughter noticed a bug one on her leg while my husband and I were packing up. I bagged it and tried to show office when I checked out and the lady refused to even look at it. This 170.00 cabin rental to celebrate my daughter’s birthday has so far cost me close to 1500. I ask for refund and manager wouldn’t even let me finish talking. I was only asking for a refund for the last day that we left early. But she never even heard that. I immediately get attitude from manger and told they had their guy check the cabin and there isn’t any bed bugs. Promise you “their guy” isn’t a professional exterminator!! Funny because I have doctor confirmation and Exterminator confirmation and still hve that bug in a bag that they still won’t even hear me when I say I have it to show them. Refused any sort of refund and pretty much told me they don’t believe me. Exterminator found zero in my home but still doing the treatments grrrr!! I have all this documented by professionals and offered to bring to them and they completely over talked me and wouldn’t hear me. Good luck to the next person that stays in that cabin!! When you wake up eaten alive you won’t get a refund so don’t waste your time asking!!!
Camped here many times and poss the last after this past weekend. Very little DNR presence un less you are at gate getting pulled over seen it twice in one day! The sites were not maintained, weeds, grass over grown, golf carts running thru the campground, gas powered dirt bike running thru trails and thru campground for over 4hrs! Over a years time this place turned into a joke. Campers beware. Just to be clear it is not our job to turn folks in the DNR should of been on top of this and the property but failed on some many levels. Why charge full rates for a un maintained park!
