Great spot for a night's sleep. It's close to the interstate and only minutes from downtown. There's full hookup included (30/50, water, sewer). The playground looks a tad rough but at least it's there. The WiFi never worked for us and we were parked near the center of the lot. The lot is all gravel and is level. There are some concrete pads that I assume are for long term stays.

Pro - Hard packed level gravel Full hookups Pets ok Close to bike trail and small park Security fence with coded gate Shares property with boat launch Fantastic “down home” Oyster Bar just out the back gate Owner/manager very nice guy Con - No bath house or guest house (Call owner on arrival - worked ok) A little spendy for a no-frills Didn't feel like the best part of town, but didn’t encounter any psychotic clowns or axe murderers Would stay again? Yes for a one-night stop if weather is ok. No if there is any storm risk, or for a longer vacation.

The campground was conveniently located for us near the highway, but far enough from the road noise. It is a gravel lot, which bothers some folks, but it appeared to be pretty well kept and out site was level with electric/water hook-ups. I found that they've recently invested a lot in upgrading their bathroom/shower & laundry facilities. There's an affiliated oyster bar next door.

NOT QUIET AT ALL. A large flat parking lot located directly next to a railroad switching yard. We could not sleep even with white noise generators. If you want to sleep, this is not an option. The one plus we found is the proximity to downtown. We did have full hookups, but did not use them. Let me repeat, the train noise is loud and non-stop.

If you just need a place to stay for a night or few and don't mind not having facilities then this place is great. The owner is very nice as well and the wifi is good.
