This was our first time staying at this campground, and we had a lovely experience overall. The owner, Louie, was very kind and welcoming. He even gave us a free sticker, which was such a nice surprise! We love collecting stickers from every campground we visit, and we were planning to buy one—so his gesture really meant a lot to us. We stayed at Site 11, which was very nice and had plenty of shade—perfect for us since we have two small pets. The site was clean and well-maintained, with beautiful mountain views all around. The only downside to our stay was a bit of an uncomfortable moment with the neighboring campers. As soon as we arrived, the couple next to us asked how long we were staying, and their attitude felt a little unwelcoming. It seemed like they weren’t too happy about having neighbors close by. Thankfully, we were only staying for one night, so it didn’t affect us too much. Overall, the campground itself is great—peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature. We’d definitely consider coming back, hopefully with friendlier neighbors next time!
Jun 11, 2025 · DhongDhong ThoptenPerfect spot for camping! The campground is spotless and very family friendly. The owners live onsite and make sure you feel welcomed and have everything you need. Tons of amenities with full hook ups. They also have a fenced in dog run area! Hiawassee is so close to great hiking as well!

May 21, 2025 · Jamie O'ByrneThis was my first time camping. After doing extensive research to find the perfect campground, we landed on Mountain View. All I can say is WOW. It was so peaceful and tranquil. We brought our 3 year old and 2 month old. Louie and PJ welcomed us with open arms as if we have met before! Everyone on the campground was so friendly - we really felt like part the family there. At night, it was so dark and quiet I couldn’t believe it. I HIGHLY recommend it!! I will be back very soon.
Aug 26, 2024 · AlexTalk about a gem hidden up here in northeast Georgia! This was our first time here and we'll definitely be back. Great location, nice and peaceful out here you don't have the buzz of traffic like you do with a lot of other campgrounds. You're out away from everything but still close enough to town if you forgot something. The owners are amazing and make you feel at home like you're family (in a good way, lol) These people are living their best life and it shows! The service is top notch and the amenities are plenty. We had a blast at the triple treat (karaoke, story time, and trivia) I can't say enough about this place especially the peace and quiet. They were more than capable of handling an rv as big as ours at 36ft. If you're looking for a campground up this is it!
