It's a great campground. We found it on a Google map search for the first day of our road trip. We liked it so much that we went back there for our last day! The owners are very friendly and more than accommodating. There's a nice spring fed pond in the middle that was great to relax by. They have a convenient store that's stocked with the things you forgot to bring! I liked the fact that we were supporting a privately owned campground, and not some huge corporation. We'll definitely go back. Visit them and you won't be disappointed.
Sep 03, 2025 · Brian CanterWow! What a incredibly beautiful quaint campground. We stayed in full service site #9, with a wonderful view of the pond and a small brook that runs alongside it. The owners, Tom and Denise are extremely hospitable which made for an even more enjoyable time. We will definitely be returning to Pine Hollow Campground. If anyone is looking for a quiet relaxing camping spot in Vermont put Pine Hollow at the top of your list.
Jul 24, 2025 · Linda Wolvertonwhat a beautiful place to stay and enjoy. relaxing is just a step away when you reach this amazing destination. the pond is great to relax and also fish, enjoying the views. they just renovated the bath house and it is fabulous!! especially if you saw it beforehand, you would see how much it has improved and has all your basic needs to shower, freshen up and use the restroom. thank you for all you do, and how hard you work everyday for your campers!!! i’m sure they do not hear this enough, the store is fabulous, the options and amenities available are so convenient. need to stay here if you haven’t and you will not regret it!!!
Jun 14, 2025 · Kaylie MawhinneyQuiet campground nestled in a valley. Owners are wonderful and tried to resolve problems if they occurred. Scenery of mountains and nearby towns are beautiful. Enough space between campsites. Overall loved it and would come back.
Jul 20, 2025 · Susanne BoatwrightI generally don’t like to leave negative reviews, but I think big rig RV’ers should be aware of the electrical issues at this campground. Sites 7 thru 9 at Pine Hollow Campground in Pownal, VT are listed as 30/50 amp, but cannot support 50 amp if more than one big rig is in any of those sites. During our 10-day stay at site 9, after another big rig came into site 7, and a smaller rig came into site 8, we were unable to operate more than one AC at a time and only on low, else our surge protector would trip. We had to turn off the one AC if we wanted to use a hair dryer or the microwave. The owner is aware of the problem (sites 7 to 9 are wired in series and site 9 is particularly affected when there is higher draw down the line in sites 7 and 8), but he puts big rigs in those sites, anyway. His solution to the problems we had at site 9 and the campers at site 7 also experienced, was that we should not use our surge protectors. Needless to say, we both rejected that idea. He also offered for us to move to another site in a grass field (not wired in series) but that site did not have sewer. We were in site 9 several days before the owner moved the other big rig into site 7, knowing that it would cause problems. In our opinion, this is dishonest. Though this campground is in a very pretty setting and has a nice spring fed pond, we could not enjoy our stay there due to the campground caused electrical issues. In addition, the complete lack of cell service (we have T-Mobile) and poor campground-supplied wi-fi, made for an overall unenjoyable stay.
