Situated in a desirable location, Redwood Estates aims to provide a welcoming environment for individuals and families seeking a balanced lifestyle.
Manufactured home communities have become a popular housing solution for many across Pennsylvania, offering a more attainable path to owning a home without the often-prohibitive costs of traditional real estate. By typically owning the home itself and leasing the land, residents can enjoy significant financial benefits. Redwood Estates Manufactured Home Community strives to deliver on this promise, fostering a sense of belonging and convenience in the charming locale of Oakdale.
Redwood Estates Manufactured Home Community is located at 100 Redwood Dr, Oakdale, PA 15071, USA. Oakdale is a borough situated in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, placing Redwood Estates within the expansive and economically diverse Pittsburgh metropolitan area. This location offers residents the benefit of a suburban or semi-rural feel while maintaining excellent accessibility to the myriad of employment, educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities available in Pittsburgh and its surrounding communities.
The community's position in Oakdale provides a balance, allowing for a quieter residential environment compared to the dense urban core, while still being within a reasonable commuting distance to major business districts, shopping centers, and entertainment venues. Access to major roadways from Oakdale typically ensures convenient travel for residents, making it a practical choice for those working in Pittsburgh or needing to commute frequently. The surrounding natural landscape, including areas influenced by projects like the Milk Run Project (as mentioned in a review, albeit with associated issues), suggests a setting that can offer both convenience and a touch of nature.
Redwood Estates Manufactured Home Community provides a range of services and facilities common to well-established manufactured home parks, designed to enhance the living experience for its residents:
Manufactured Home Lots: The core offering includes designated lots for residents to place their manufactured homes. These lots are equipped with necessary utility connections.
Utility Hookups: Essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity are typically available at each home site, providing the necessary infrastructure for comfortable living.
Community Amenities: A significant highlight mentioned by residents is a "really nice park for the kids and a swimming pool for residents." This indicates a commitment to recreational facilities within the community.
Guest Access to Pool: Residents are allowed to "bring +2 guests" to the swimming pool, fostering a welcoming environment for entertaining friends and family.
On-site Management/Office: The community has an office, and an "office manager is awesome, she is super nice." Positive interactions with management suggest a focus on addressing resident concerns, with issues being "resolved fairly" in many cases.
Maintenance (General): While some negative feedback exists regarding specific maintenance issues (e.g., "roads are full of pot holes," "alley way has craters," and "blocking the sewer lines system"), the presence of maintenance staff who were observed working indicates that maintenance activities do occur.
Pet-Friendly: While not explicitly stated, many manufactured home communities are pet-friendly, though specific rules and restrictions would apply.
Redwood Estates Manufactured Home Community boasts several features and highlights that contribute to its appeal for Pennsylvania residents:
Established Community: With residents having lived there for "20+ years," Redwood Estates has a long-standing presence, suggesting a stable and settled community atmosphere.
Family-Friendly Amenities: The "really nice park for the kids" and the resident "swimming pool" are significant draws for families, providing on-site recreational opportunities.

Proximity to Pittsburgh Area: Its location in Oakdale provides the benefits of suburban living while maintaining convenient access to the vast amenities and opportunities of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.
Community Cohesion: The long tenure of some residents suggests a community where people feel comfortable and connected.
It is important for prospective residents to consider the feedback regarding maintenance issues, specifically "roads are full of pot holes" and "our alley way has craters in it," and a significant issue with a "cracked foundation" due to external digging that was allegedly "dropped to the wayside." There were also complaints about the office not answering the phone and potentially blocking calls, and concerns about "Lot Rent and Taxes are way to high." These are crucial points that warrant direct inquiry and inspection before committing to residency.

Customer Reviews
I've lived in Redwood for 20+ years with minimal complaints. Redwood has a really nice park for the kids and a swimming pool for residents and allow you to bring +2 guests. My experiences with management has always been positive. The office manager is awesome, she is super nice. The few times there was an issue regardless of who's fault, the issue was resolved fairly.
2016, I purchased my Modular Home. I have addressed my issue to Redwood Estates about my cracked foundation when the Montour Run Watershed Association started digging and tearing down trees and moving dirt from the hillside behind my lot in July of 2018, for the Milk Run Project. Redwood Estates STATED that they took photos The foundation is the property of Redwood Estates... but this issue was dropped to the wayside. Contacted the Corporate by Email. NO REPLY Then after big storm, the maintenance guy, working on a Sunday. Throwing big tree branches down at the bottom of my yard. Blocking the sewer lines system. The office never ever answers their phone, I think they have a caller ID and block your calls. Why would new management Redwood Estates tear down the ( red wood & stone ) entry sign with a (blue) REDWOOD ESTATES entry sign ?? Lot Rent and Taxes are way to high .
If I can give this place a negative 5-star rating I would! Management at this facility does not care and they are just money hungry. I'm sure the stupid little robot that replied to this will say we cannot verify your residency or some other stupid thing. But I have lived at this place for 5 years. The day I moved in the backyard was trashed from the previous owners. The inside was fully furnished with disgusting old raggedy furniture. The carpets were not clean and we're spotted everywhere. I did not have a working stove for over a year. house was run down it had an old gazebo that was falling apart. Hanging over the hillside directly above the house below. No matter how hard you try to get in contact with the management, they will never answer a phone call leaving you high and dry. There has been multiple times during the weekend where my electricity would just cut off out of nowhere and it will not be taken care of until you physically go down to the office to tell somebody. This place is a joke and overly expensive for the pool. Never being open for residents to occupy. Do not let them fool you into telling you they have a full clubhouse because wrong you will not be able to get in. The doors are always locked at all times. It took numerous calls to management and emails to address the fact that I had a leaking roof. Although it was eventually replaced a year after they were told about it. Deer clear of this place at all. They just want the money you bring in. They do nothing for its residents.
Lived here 5 years. The park is safe, management is easily accessible. We have some of the best neighbors. Couldn't ask for a nicer neighborhood.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Luckily we rented so we could easily leave once we were month to month and homes were being destroyed due to arson that no one in management even bothered to address with the worried residents in the community. Our neighbors had the police at their house 1-3 times a month and would scream and fight each other in the street. They threw glass out of their door that then landed in my driveway and on my car. My complaints were ignored so I gave up. You cannot contact anyone in the corporate office and if you contact the property manager and she doesn't want to handle a situation in a professional manner she will block your email address. Just stay away. It is not worth the headache.
