Customer Reviews
I have already seen several park rangers in full uniform. The playgrounds at shelter 2 are well taken care of. This is the list in the bathroom of events in April 2025! The titles look fun, and there seems to be something for every interest, schedule, age, ability and excuse to get you outside. The gentleman at the gate was kind, and informative, too. Wish I got his name!
We loved it there and had so much fun and the Bathroom are so clean and you can do your laundry there too
Enormous wooded campsites with level camping pads and loads of privacy. Cleanest bathhouse I’ve ever seen, with a smart layout. Top-notch laundry, too. We were focused on visiting family and friends, but we did scope out the River access and it looks just as well appointed.
Very pretty park. The sites are all pretty private. No one right up on the other person. Basically a bit of trees between each site! Beautiful! Bathhouse was very nice and very clean! It helps that it is a relatively new park. Kind of a bummer that the play ground was so far away. Everything was super spread out. If there weren't other kids at the campground to play with, my boys would have been super bored.
Have totally enjoyed this state park and campground every time we have stayed here. Plenty of trails to walk the dogs and explore. I imagine more camping will have to be added in the future as reservations must be made well in advance. Wish it was open year around.
